Super freindly atmosphere! We ordered buns and kimchi and loved their food!
Nice place to have a beer, try to go in during happy hour (check the app Appy Hour). Dont miss Microbar just a few min away as well.
A bit on the pricy side but the beer and atmosphere is great. Staff are friendly and it’s happy hour before 7pm.
The Broad la sibilla ok with it but otherwise cool place
Easily my favourite bar in Reykjavik. Good selection of local beers and a rolling happy hour selection.
A wonderful local craft bar, 14 draft beers plus many in bottles and cans. Limited pub menu.
Very cool little bar that is hidden away from the Ingolfstorg, there is a good selection of craft beers to choose from although I'd recommend getting there before 7pm to take advantage of happy hour.
Great place for a craft beer. We went to Micro Bar first thinking that was the place, but Skuli had more taps for way better prices
I love craft beer and went looking for a craft beer cafe in Reykjavik, ending up at Skúli Craft Bar. They have many Icelandic/Scandinavian beers on the draft and even have an untappd badge! The bar is just outside the busy nightlife of Reykjavik so makes up for a very comfortable place to enjoy your beer with friends. I can of course (as a Dutchman) complain about the high price of the beers, but that's just part of the game here in Iceland.
The bartender was very friendly and I understand that Iceland is pricey for food and drinks. However, my boyfriend and I went in to Skuli and had a bottle of beer and a glass of red wine (Sidenote: they basically are a beer spot and the bartender stated I could chose red or white wine, not a type of red. This was totally fine by me). The two drinks were 6,000 ISK (almost $58 USD). I paid and then we converted the cost and I asked if she could tell me how much each item was. She stated that she didn't know off the top of her head but the wine was around 1800 ISK. When I mentioned she charged me 6,000 ISK she said "oh yeah that sounds right. Iceland used to have a big alcohol problem so it's heavily taxed".
For comparison we had just had dinner that included a lobster appetizer, two entrees, dessert, and 4 beers for 17,000 ISD.
She made no move to walk me through the cost so either she was trying to take advantage of us on purpose or she messed up and basically was just riding it out rather than correct the mistake. Had we had more time before our tour I would have stayed and pushed back. I would be careful going here. It looks like a cool spot and again, the bartender was friendly, but it is overpriced at best and exploitative at worst.
Pretty good selection of beers top 4 for Reykjavik. Nice environment. Didn't check the food.
Nice staff, great beers, good price and great atmosphere.
Impressive beer selection, nice service, very small food offering, nice atmosphere.
Off of the center in Reykjavik. Good beers with some food trucks outside. Really kind of a nice chill to hang out and relax after a day of sightseeing.
Excellent choice of both Icelandic and imported craft beer. As with all of Iceland the beer prices are outrageous. Was cool to see some Treehouse and KBS cans/bottles on their wall. They definitely know good beer.
Very good local and international beer selection, staff knows their stuff
Skúli is sort of hidden from the busy parts of Reykjavik, which is nice. They have a very good draft beer selection with reasonable prices, as well as some hard to find bottles even in America. The bar snacks were quite good, too.
The staff was very friendly and willing to chat when they weren't busy. It was a nice mix of locals and tourists each time we went. They even have a free arcade machine with over 1000 games, plus a couple of Cards Against Humanity boxes.
Cool place for local and foreign craft beers. While they have an unmatched craft beer list including gems from the states and Europe, it was pricey for local craft beer. Most Euro and States beers were 3.500 kr plus. The staff were super friendly and had no problems striking up a conversation.
Lovely small craft bar with excellent beers on tap. Otherwise would give 5 stars, but the price level is too high.
If you want to drink craft beers you should definitely go here! Icelandic beers, snacks and a good atmosphere! Keep in mind that alcohol is very expensive in Iceland ;-)
