This was an awesome place to visit, the road to here is pretty rough, but we managed to get here without a 4x4. The buildings are super well preserved, and also you can stay here overnight via their Airbnb.
Such a nice place!! Lovely atmosphere. Friendly owners and even friendlier dog :D very good coffee and pancakes.
Cute detour on your drive.
Nice place. Enjoyed coffee and pancakes in an incredibile landscape
Fun, out of the way place! Went there on a whim and enjoyed coffee, hot chocolate, and pancakes. They had a selection of hand crafted woolen items for sale, and after our drinks we spent a few minutes meeting the house lambs and playing fetch with the dog.
This is a magical place!
Fantastic pancakes and hot chocolate.
If you want to live a real Icelandic experience, this is a must!
You'll need a 4x4 car to reach this place.
As the previous reviewer said, this place is on the other end of the lake. If you look at a satellite image you can see where the farm is. It's way out in the middle of nowhere, however the folks there were very friendly. They serve coffee, tea and waffles at a fair price. There's also a museum you can go to. I believe the museum was 1000kr and the coffee was 300kr. Well worth the drive.
