Love the fact that while in a fancy restaurant you can sit in robes with your wet hair in a bun. The bread and butter was yummy. The rest of the food was ok for me. I wish it had been lighter. It was too rich. Beautifully served. Was would have loved a big salad option with broth of some sort. Friendly service while dealing with loads of people.

I was so completely impressed by the Artistry of these dishes as well as the flavor and creativity. They also had amazing dairy-free desserts and it really set the stage 4 our culinary experience in Iceland. They embodied the local flavor of things and I feel like their food was elevated by the landscape and geography of Iceland. The setting was stunning as well as the view and we were there as it transitioned from night and today. I cannot wait to eat there again.

Great service. Food was good. Service was a little long and my medium rare steak came out medium well, but maybe they misheard me. Overall, I enjoyed it though.

Food was exquisite. The melding of flavors in the fillet of lamb & lamb shoulder dish were outstanding.
The starter fish was also excellent, cooked to perfection. The dessert also had so many flavors going on it was an assault on you taste buds but in a very good way. Very pricey but everything in Iceland is so at least here you will get great food & great service.

Fine dining right at the blue lagoon. Loved that I could just sit in my Blue Lagoon bathrobe and eat.

I think the prices are a little high for what you are getting but the quality of food is very good. We skipped the entrees for lunch and shared 3 appetizers between 2 people which was perfect. Left us satiated but not too full to go back in the water.

The seafood soup, mussels, and smoked arctic char were all perfect. If I had to omit one it would be the mussels, the other two were exceptional. Expect bread and skyr whipped butter with volcanic salt with your meal.

For drinks they offer 3 sparking wines (mild, medium, and sweet). I had medium, not great quality drinks. Save your drinking for the cider/beer in the lagoon bar.

I had lamb for lunch and fish for dinner here during my trip to Blue Lagoon. Both meals were amazing. This really defines fine dining. I highly recommend to anyone who's visiting the Blue Lagoon to not only bathe but also to try out this restaurant. Superb!

Ate there for my wife's sixtieth but no special treatment! Lovely food but very pretentious and ridiculously over priced - £17 for a tiny dessert of one strawberry cut into quarters, a tea spoonful of ice cream and some juice!

The decor is a reason to come on it's own! The food is truly good and I recommended the tasting menu and if that's not your thing you should try the prawn entree.

I had a truly fantastic meal at Lava. Put another way, I ate at Dill the night before and Lava MIGHT have been better. I had the tasting menu and really enjoyed it. I'm gluten free and they were super accommodating, even bringing me delicious GF bread. I read the reviews and wasn't sure what to believe / felt like the restaurant could be a tourist trap, but am really glad I ate here. Re pricing, in my view the tasting menu ($100/pp) was worth it. Definitely looking at the regular menu you get a bit of sticker shock ($60 for entrees), but if you've eaten out in NYC/London/Tokyo/name any other expensive city, you're used to the prices, and you do actually get good value.

We went to the lava restaurant at 7pm slot after taking a dip in the lagoon. The ambience is soo warm and staff so friendly. The prices are moderate as well nothing exorbitant as most will expect. My favourite dish was the chocolate and raspberries.. totally yum. Must try. In the main course the fish of the day too was very fresh and crispy. Its straight from the harbour of Grindavík. In the day time you can have a nice view of the pool but i went at night so was more of closed warm experience. You can always book a table after going there as well if you make up your mind suddenly and if you are late for your reservation then according to the availability they will very sweetly add you to the next timing. You will leave the restaurant with a smile 😊

What a great place and great meal. I ordered the tasting menu and they substitute the meat for fish as I do not eat meat. They were very accommodating, and the service and staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend eating here during your visit at the blue Lagoon.

Had dinner here after a day at the lagoon. The food selection was delicious, but limited options and there was no menu for children. I had the beef tenderloin. I asked for it rare and they said they would make it as rare as they could, which was medium rare. It still tastes delicious. The fries were yummy, and it came with a very oily garlic dip. I absolutely loved the bread and butter that came complements with the meal. Thr dessert options were awesome, I would have been happy to only order a few dessert! Had Na espresso after dinner and it was decent. The servers were very friendly and informative.

Very nice restaurant. We ended up booking a package at Blue Lagoon which guaranteed a booking for dinner. We loved their surprise menu, which included about 4 courses. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and with a very nice design. Would definitely come back on our next trip.

Great restaurant! Best meal we had. You can have lunch in between bathing sessions. We had a set lunch menu and every course was superb. Staff was very friendly and atmosphere very relaxed. We made a reservation upfront but it was not very busy.

Luxury package included a sparkling wine at LAVA - but you need to sit and eat a meal to get the included wine. LAVA prices weren't unreasonable considering the cost of food in Iceland. The food was delicious and displayed on the plate like art.

A formal but relaxed restaurant. You can either dine before or after hitting the spa, or like some, hit it right in the middle with robes and swimsuits still on.

This restaurant was our first experience with HIGH food prices in Iceland. I believe for four with a glass of wine each, was $168 USD.

The food was delicious and the views were great. The staff were also very helpful and the service was fast.

Venue was really beautiful setting by the spa, there are walls in the way so you don't get naked people next to your window but you do get to see the water vapourising , magical!

Staff are attentive and lovely. Can't ask for more

Food we went for was the set menu. They were able to adjust the menu to suit our dietary concerns. It was delectable.

The restaurant has a very nice, formal vibe to it. Very classy and a good place for a romantic dinner after relaxing in the Blue Lagoon. Be aware, it is very pricey though, and there aren't a lot of choices on the menu.
