Cute diner setting. I went for breakfast, the menu plays up the 'American' theme a bit much. Food was good, service wasn't great. Our food and drinks were taken to the wrong table, luckily we were able to switch the plates so it all worked out. This place is good for a hearty breakfast, but isn't a 'must' for a trip to Iceland.

Brain dead staff ( probably stoned out of their minds ). Food quality and service suffers as a result.

Amazing, big and hearty breakfast here! There was a gentleman with long hair that was absolutely delightful! Very sweet and attentive! However we were mainly served by blonde bartender that was a bit rude.

Authentic old timey bar / coffee shop in a great location. Super cozy. We spent hours here and had many glasses of coffee.

One of the first places we had a meal in the city and we were impressed! They have a few options for vegans/vegetarians and the flavor did not disappoint. The bartender was very welcoming.

I've been solo travelling through Iceland from Toronto, with no idea what to expect. I came here for a drink at the bar and the bartender was lovely. Everyone was amazing there. Very inviting.

The food and atmosphere are great. We stopped here for breakfast twice. The meals were very good and dining in a traditional style Icelandic restaurant.

Best breakfast ever!! This is actually a bar but they know how to take care of the morning after crowd too!! We flew into Iceland early in the morning and were wandering the streets looking for a breakfast spot. Found Prikio and our only regret was not getting back there for at least another breakfast, but it also looked like it would be very fun at any time of day. It is in the downtown area, on the main Street, near the best tourist office ever created by mankind ... Friendliest and most knowledgeable staff imaginable at this tourist office. However, the amazing breakfast we were served fit the bill and we left here ready for a full day of sight seeing, regardless of our very short (red eye flight) night. This pub is definitely worth a visit.

    Pretty nice pub/ restaurant.
    Relaxed and non-pretentious.
Had the pork ribs and the fish and chips.
    Both were nice.
Good place to chill and have a relaxed meal over a couple of drinks.

Arguably the best meal that we had on the entire island during our 7-day stay. The fish & chips are tasty, the sweet potato fries are unbelievable, and their largest burger is well worth the added cost because it is amazingly delicious! Fun pub atmosphere. We are upstairs for lunch while exploring downtown. We're definitely happy we discovered this place.

Great place to visit! Their caramel muffins are amazing and a must try. The breakfast is certainly yummy as well. It's centrally located on the main street in Reykjavik and is open early and late to allow for all to visit.

Trendy little bar that serves great brunch. Don't expect it to be cheap and cheerful because of the layout! It's casual but recent history and prime location.

Prikið is a Reykjavík institution. People use it as a reference even, to decide if the new place they're planning to move to is too far from downtown :D "How far away from Prikið?" Great for beers and burgers with friends to warm up to a night out, or a coke and sweet potato fries as a snack. You will try to imagine how the whole place transforms into a hip hop dancing station later in the night.

Great breakfast place with friendly staff. They did an American style breakfast very well (crispy bacon you could snap) and good sandwiches. Heard it gets pretty wild in the evening!

This café's strong point is its breakfast. All meals are great, and food is made to a high standard. One thing I noticed is the service isn't exceptionally great, they take a long time to serve the food.

Good food and great service. Would definitely recommend to others. Parking might become an issue however as the location is downtown.
