An unbelievable collection of Crystal's and natural wonders. I believe this is the largest private collection in the world. Nearly all the items were found in iceland by Petra herself and carried down from the mountains in a bag. Sometimes up to 80kg!!! Amazing.
Amazing collection! Great stop!
Interesting collection of stones. A lot of work has gone into making this available to the public. However it would be nice to have more descriptions of some stones for a more educational experience. Also it could be more organized.
Rocks A lot of them Story about the collector is not bad. If you are passing by it is okay. Serves coffee, soup etc to go as well.
Amazing collection. Neat woman. Just bring a geologist if you want to get into deep details of rock formation.
A very beautiful place made possible by a beautiful lady! Reading about Petra was an a great experience, she sounded like an amazing lady. This was a very relaxing stop to walk through the garden and look at all these amazing stones. Definitely stop by here!
Worth every penny. It is absolutely one of my favourite stops in Iceland. Pure dedication from one family to make a fantastic place even better. The amount of rocks gems and interesting items is just incredible. You can stay for hours looking around and never get bored.
Go there if you are interested in rocks. There isn't much information and it's quite pricey. Its all about this woman and her passion. It's admirable but I wouldnt recommend tot go there though.
Amazing version of one women's story of nature, inspiring!
Great museum, fantastic collection of rocks and bones. Bring some crumbs as the birds are happy to eat out of you're hand.
Fun place to spend a rainy day. Impressive collection of stones from exclusively east Iceland!
The passion and love was evident. This was an incredible personal collection. A little more signage would be helpful. There was n amazing number if different rocks in the collection. Many of them interesting. Some order but more just more and more amazing rocks. Liked the small house with other collections. (pen, matches, cards etc)
Note the fee was for adults. Children were free.
It is incredible that Mrs. Petra spent her whole life amassing this beautiful collection! The gardens are quite impressive as well.
