I've been to the restaurant twice and have tried several items on the vegan menu. The food is definitely tasty; it's good enough to go back again, but it isn't amazing either. I'd prefer more vegetables in the dishes. The Korean soup and the pho were a bit too salty. The portion sizes also seem a bit small, like the food didn't feel that filling (I think that could be fixed by adding more vegetables into the dishes). The service was okay.
Very poor quality food, expensive and ugly
decoration place.
My wife and I came here for dinner last night. We were skeptical at first because it was pretty quiet. Only one other table was occupied by a group of Koreans.
We ordered the item no 1 on the menu - Pho beef soup and also typical Vietnamese grilled pork chop on rice.
Overall considering that we are here in Iceland, the food was great.
Anyone looking for a hot and hearty broth of beef soup, noodles and meat will find the pho here most satisfying especially in icy cold weather.
The grilled pork chop was good too.
Only thing it’s expensive compared to Pho in Singapore, USA or Australia. I guess it is very true food in Iceland is pricey. Which is why I gave it 4 stars.
Anyway we were glad to come back again today for lunch.
Decent Vietnamese Restaurant in Reykjavik, which was walking distance from our hotel (Hilton). We went during the Christmas period and they were one of the only few hard working places still open.
Similar to other reviews the food was tasty and service was friendly with good speed. The only let down is the atmosphere seems to be missing something (probably music). The food is reasonably priced by the standards of Reykjavik.
We are having lunch at this place as we speak. We are the first people to come today I believe.
I ordered the 213 Vegan Yellow Curry, but soon changes my mind. By soon I mean 2-3 mins after the person left writing down our order. Went to the counter to change and was told the food is ready. I could see no chefs but hear a lot of microvaves. Both out dishes were precooked and just heated. Was a bit put off knowing the fact, however was still looking forward to the food. The food did not taste good as well and the curry was damn watery.
We are going to go have food somewhere else as well. I would not recommend this place.
Excellent Vietnamese restaurant on the outskirts of Reykjavik. Thankfully not far from numerous popular package hotels, this is a little secret that is worth finding.
While the atmosphere was somewhat lacking the food was warming (which is very welcome with a snow storm going on outside) and the spring rolls were the best we’ve ever tasted. So crispy and full of flavour.
Reasonably priced for Reykjavik, Pho is worth an evening of your time should you be visiting the area.
Good selection of meals - only down side is that there was no atmosphere because there was no music. The food itself was gorgeous- you get a lot for each dish as well. It was a little pricey compared to the other local places though. The guy that was serving us was full of character and was really helpful with advising us on good beers and gave good recommendations.
Very good meal and selection. Slow service but was still good and made our Christmas very nice
Love this place. The price is affordable. Serving is really quick and food is nice as well
Fast service and good reasonable prices happy with my visit :)
A better place that we manage to have a bowl of hot soup noodle here in town. They even serve a generous portion of set lunch (of the day) too.
Not the best noodles but the broth and meat were very good. Very authentic Pho. The coffee with condensed milk was perfect. Prices were typical for Iceland.
Came in close to their closing time, but they didn't seem to mind. Food was delicious and the staff were very attentive.
Both food and service are fast food quality.
Good food, authentic pho, reasonable prices.
Extremely nice employees, good pho
I happen to have lunch here during working days and have done so for some years and not without a reason: There's a very good open buffet at lunch here. You can select between 6 hot dishes or combine up to three including chicken, lamb, fish and shrimps along with rise and noodles. One dish at lunchtime 1100 Ikr Two combined 1300 Ikr or three combined 1600 Ikr. Abundant quantiy per complete portion. Excellent value for money! THE BEST PRICE IN REYKJAVIK CITY. Of course they offer various menu selection until 10 PM in the evening. Very nice relaxing atmosphere ♥
Within close walking distance of the Hilton, I had a delicious Pho dish with dumplings that truly warmed my cockles after a cold winter's day out at sea whale watching. Definitely going back - definitely reccommend :-)
Was in iceland for close to 7 cold and rainy days and decided that I really needed a nice hot bowl of noodle soup. Found this place next to the Hilton that we were staying at and went in without a second thought. The bowls were rather small and it was very expensive. Close to $20 a bowl! However, the soup was very tasty and noodles was just what I needed. Given how expensive all the food was in iceland, I can't really complain about a $20 bowl of noodle soup. I will definitely go back again if I was still in iceland.
Good price, nice food, great service.
