I am not sure there are enough kind words to say about this outfit. We toured the ring-road over 8 days in mid October; thinking we had seen it all, we signed up for a short heli-tour. After noticing some less than favorable weather in the days prior to our scheduled flight, we emailed to make sure we could still fly. We were thankful to receive a response offering to put us on an earlier and even longer tour just to make sure we could fly the day we picked. We couldn't have been more pleased with our entire experience. The office staff was amazing and overly accommodating.
Gisli* (our pilot and guide) was full of passion and excitement not only for the places we would visit, but his role as our guide. We loved talking with him during our stops and he provided a wealth of information on the geological and scenic wonders we passed over, around, and in some cases through. He also did an amazing job at maintaining heading momentum, which is to say that when you're in a helicopter it is easy to feel disoriented if the pilot isn't smooth and able to maintain flight direction as a predictable sensation. Gisli always let us know of upcoming maneuvers and was truly a wonderful and skilled pilot.
If you recall above, I said we had driven around the entirety of the island in the 8 days prior to our heli-tour. We felt as though we saw almost more in the few hours of the heli-tour than on most of our prior journeys through Iceland. The longer tours were more than worth it, we will be back and we can't wait! Had a blast doing this helicopter tour, worth every penny seeing Iceland from above. We landed on top of a mountain and took in some breathtaking views. Our pilot pointed out key points of interest and gave interesting facts while we were in the sky, he was was very knowledgeable!

We booked this helicopter tour last minute after our originally planned hike was cancelled by the guide operator. As it turns out, the cancelled hike was a HUGE stroke of luck. The helicopter tour ended up being just awesome and the highlight of this (our second) Iceland vacation! We took the trip out to the geothermal area where the landscape is really quite spectacular and unlike anything we’ve seen. We felt at times we could be on another planet. Our pilot was a great guy, highly skilled with the aircraft and extremely knowledgeable about the geology and history of the area which he shared. The trip was approximately 20 minutes out, 20 on the ground exploring the area and another 20 minutes back. We were total engaged and completely fascinated the entire time. The staff on the ground were also first rate. Very fun and friendly as they happily handled constant changes accommodating all the guests’ requests and schedule changes. A five star experience in this incredibly beautiful country. Don’t miss it!

My family had a great time. By far, this was their favorite activity on the trip to Iceland. Spectacular views along with friendly staff and pilots! We would highly recommend.

Great experience and an amazing way to see areas not approachable by foot. We landed in the middle of an enormous mountain range and the area was unbelievable. Definitely a highlight of the trip to Iceland. Our pilot, Gunnar, was very friendly and informative. The flying was very stable and safe. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a unique way to see Iceland.

I went on the Reykjavik Summit Tour in March and it was one of the greatest experience of my life, we had perfect weather conditions and also enjoyed a glass of sparkling wine at the top of a mountain, that was fantastic! I highly recommend NordurFlug, I would do it again if I had the possibility, very nice staff too :)

Booked a Reykjavik Summit tour for my boyfriend and I and it was amazing. The staff was very patient and kind with all my questions and very quick to respond to my emails. Our pilot gave us an amazing experience that we will always remember. We had to wait an extra 20 min for the weather to pass and we were offered a glass of wine. Amazing team that I recommend to anyone. Thanks !
