Excellent pizza cooked in a wood oven, the four cheese pizza was great and the Parmesan with it freshly grated. Service was very good and the place was clean.

This place is amazing! The vegetatrian pizza they served is absolutely out of the world! The choco lava cake they have as desert is also brilliant. A must try restaurant!

Really great food, friendly staff. Only reason it's a 4 is that the price is exceptionally high price (2700isk-about US$27) for a pizza. Good on them though, place was busy and we all could have walked out upon seeing the prices on the menu. Was it worth the price, not quite compared to other options for the same price.

Having visited Italy a few times in my life, and for a total of many weeks, one of the things we enjoyed, among other things, was the thin, crispy pizza from wood-fired ovens that Italy is known for. Guess what? Italy has come to Iceland. Well, sort of. :)
La Colina is one of the newer restaurants in our beautiful Borgarnes. I first went there a few days after they opened in 2016 to get a copy of their menu to put in our B&B, and the smell was fantastic. We finally got the time to try it out a few days later, and we were not disappointed.
Their wood-fired oven is up to the task of making thin, crispy pizzas, and the staff knows how to use it. Very friendly staff all around. The place was almost full, and although we carried out, there were a couple of tables available, so waiting would have been minimal, if at all. There is an area outside which can accommodate many diners. Weather permitting, of course. This is still Iceland after all. ;)
They had at least three staff waiting on tables and handling take away orders, and that is fantastic for Iceland. They close at 21:00 (9 PM), and that might be a bit early for some visitors. Maybe they will extend that 1-2 hours, especially on weekends.response / report this review -
