We went Ice skating here on the 23rd December 2017. The kids thoroughly enjoyed this and had plenty of fun. No limit on time on the Ice like the Uk.

Beautiful in the holiday season, with an outdoor skating rink (a reasonable 900 kr per hour for skate rentals) that opens til 2200. My daughter says it's her favorite part of Iceland!

A small square that can be touristy some times of the year, but often is used for local gatherings and live broadcasts of various sports.

With many hotels and restaurants in range and shops for tourists all along the roads as they go South, you can always find something to do here.

Cocktails were not good but expensive. Staff was closing at 11:50. So we were in a rush to finish our drinks

It is a lovely small square. There is one hot dog stand with few restaurants. The square is within walking distance to volcano museum on the south beside the pulic library.

Great place to people watch. Grab an ice cream or a hot dog and watch people. Families hang out and kids are out playing when it's sunny.

Fun to walk about. Dont be fooled, Iceland is EXPENSIVE if you are coming from the U.S.

This is a really nice little place to grab lunch or a snack from the hotdog stand in the square. It's surrounded by shops, hotels, and restaurants. Sometimes you find some local kids skateboarding.

Visited during the Christmas period where there was an ice rink in place, sadly a bit too small for anymore than ten adults at a time. The square itself was nicely maintained and the offerings were great and there's also a lovely hot dog stand there.
