Stopped here for lunch as part of a group tour. The waiters were very attentive and helpful with any queries about menu items and the buffet. They were quick to change my meal when it came with dairy and brought a fresh one out with no trouble at all. I got a ham sandwich no dairy with French fries. Everything was hot and tasted good.

A lovely hotel right in the centre of Akureyri. Ii was provided with vegan breakfasts which were great. The hotel bar was well stocked with a good selection of vegan friendly drinks.

An ideally situated hotel close to the town centre
A clean hotel with friendly staff. They had to arrange meals and accommodation for 180 people stranded after our flight was delayed 26 hours. They coped admirably and supplied an excellent meal.

Good hotel. Very cozy, plenty warm enough. Beds were rediculously comfortable!!!! Rooms were smaller than I am used to and there was a little noise throughout the night so sound insulation could be improved. I. Summary very welcoming and appreciated. They provide towels and ample soap shampoo and conditioner so no need to pack unnecessary washing stuff. There is a minibar with enough room to fit a couple of beers if you fancy a cold one in your room. They also provide a hair dryer and ironing board. The hotel has happy hour between 4 and 6 which they serve beers half price which is more in line with say a pricy English pub. It's wrong to say that any particular establishment is expensive as compared to England everything is. But in comparison this hotel has very fair pricing. I would definately stay here again!!

Avoid room 508, which is next to the elevator and sounds like you're in a mechanical room. We moved to 522 and enjoyed the quiet. Bonus: View of the nextdoor church just outside our room!

Nice hotel in the middle of town. Parking is a bit tricky but the rooms are nice (and the standard Icelandic room with no AC or fan, so if you don't like stuffiness bring/buy a small fan like we did). Breakfast spread was good, scrambled eggs, meats cheeses, etc. and good coffee. Located a short walk from various dining and the local Catholic Church that we attended mass at. Need to drive out of town a bit to have any hope of Northern Lights as too much lighting in the general vicinity but that's no fault of the hotel. Overall, would recommend highly.

I had a poor experience. once I got to the hotel after hiking and long drive, I found out that they gave my room to someone else. They put me in a very small basement room.
I had to take first elevator to get one floor up then walk to the hallway to take another elevator to go to the basement first floor. Room was really small. Carpet in the hallway smells and dirty.
Not very happy to find out that they put me in such a small room and gave my room to someone else.
Poor raring based on customer service and basement first floor was very noisy.

Great Central location, very small rooms tho' . Let's be honest, if you're here you're not going to spend much time other than sleeping in your room, and it's perfectly suitable for that. Great friendly staff, cosy bar and great food, all in a really pleasant place to stay 👍

As someone that has worked here It's a great place. The people are cheerful and the rooms look lovely. The cleaning crew is great so I really hope everyone that has come there have been satisfied since I worked as a maid there myself :)

The location is outstanding, you can hardly find anything better. Right below the church, restaurants all around, even inside the hotel, so you really do have everything right there, except maybe a grocery store but it's only about a 15-20 min walk at most :)

Great hotel situated downtown by all the shops and restaurants. Regular room is a bit small but still a great place to stay. Clean and well kept.
