Not a bad stay - the bed was very comfy. This is an old schoolhouse so it did feel a bit sterile. Not many frills - just two beds and a sink. Very clean but basic. The lobby area and breakfast was nice. Not in walking distance to anything but Hofn is a cute town!

We booked this place last minute as other travel plans fell through and for the price it was pretty good. We got a free breakfast in the room rate and going to dinner there was not as expensive as some other hotels and restaraunts. The food was amazing, I got the lobster torteccelli for dinner. The breakfast was continental with a large variety of options for food. My only complaint is that it was a communal bathroom for my floor but even that was not so bad. I would stay here again.

Excellent hotel. The rooms were well furnished, tidy and clean. The staff was eager to help and serve. The view of the mountain range is remarkable.

Pretty good hotel. The rooms are clean and simple and the breakfast is good. A bit off Höfn, though, so nothing is at normal walking distance.

Not amazing. While well equiped and while the rooms are comfortable, it does come at a price that you can avoid if you book well beforehand and find a different place to stay (something I didn't). Dinner closes at 9, which might be regular for Icelandic standards but is definitely early for tourists. Just 9h30 would have been nice, as the restaurants in the area (the 4 or 5 of them) get fully booked very easily with over 1h waiting for a table.
The young girl who ckecked us in was extremely unwelcoming too. We had pre-paid our reservation and were still asked for money - a small mistake that happens, not checking something - but she insisted we needed to pay after we informed her that we already had.

One of the cheaper stays in Höfn but in my eyes it isn't a Hotel more a hostel. Our room was very "easy" (only beds, no more) and there was only one restroom with shower on the ground floor for about 28 rooms. So it was mostly occupied. And for a hotel is this an absolutely no-go! The breakfast was good and the staff there very friendly and helpful.
