This place is ridiculous. No lift. Small room. Thin wall. Bad service. I called for dental kit and the reception hung up on me.
Also, WiFi signal was too weak.
Most importantly, the heater in my room kept turning itself off, and the switch of it was so broken that I couldn’t even turn it back on.

located in a safe and quilt town surrounded by snow mountain and sea, this hotel is clean and warm. It is only one minute walk from the sea and five minutes from restraunt~In the evening you can enjoy free cafe there~if you like you can play the piano~very nice breakfast and the hosts are warm hearted.

The carpets smelled of smoke and must. The rooms were tiny. Mold on the shower curtain and ceiling in the bathroom. Breakfast and coffee was free and quite good, staff friendly but way over priced. Supply and demand reigns supreme in this remote town.

Hótel Framnes is a great place I stayed there for one night and couldn’t be happier. The staff was friendly and the room was big and clean with a view over the ocean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that’s about to do a trip around Snaefellsnes peninsula or going west.

Stayed there for one night in November and loved the cozy atmosphere at the hotel and the sauna to warm up after sightseeing in the snow and freezing cold outside. The view is beautiful and the reception staff were really nice.

The staff didn’t know how to give a receipt, didn’t know how to look for our booking, tried to charge us more. Very thin walls, you can hear everything. Breakfast wasn’t that good. Not worth the money.

I don't really know the reason of the good reviews to this hotel. It was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. When we were making the check in we felt so uncomfortable as some people who didn't seem to be staying at the hotel were in the sofas at the reception desk staring at us like if we were some kind of aliens or something. Then, when we went to our room it wasn't clean, there was some hair left in the shower and also tooth paste in the wall of the bathroom. The only thing I loved of this hotel was the check out; leave the key at the reception desk and run away as fast as you can!

Nice quiet place. Ceiling light was burnt out and shower drain doesn't drain too well. Minor stuff.

Front desk guy was nice and let us check in few hours early since we were exhausted from travel. The room was clean with fresh sheets and towels. The location is great and there is a grocery store near the hotel. The accommodations are good for the price.

Do not trust theses people. We had to cancel our plans for the dates reserved. When we made our reservations they immediategly took our money from the credit card company. Highly unusual I would say. Within a day of reserving the rooms, I canceled and asked for the refund of 950 US. I sent numerous emails with no responses over a 4 month period! Multiple phone calls were placed and each time the same gentleman gets on the phone and says the boss is not there.(same line each time)! Finally we arrived in Iceland and personally stopped at the hotel and asked for our refund and low and behold, we get the same lines. The fellow behind the counter says Khali is the owner and won't be available till 3 days from hence. We called 3 days later and guess what? The same BS lines again. They are deceitful owners,,I wouldn't trust them.

Good service and kind personel but the rooms are really small and not that great. We had dirty glasses in our room and decided to rather spend our evening downstairs in the lobby instead of in the room. Cheap prices can make up for that a little bit though.

This is just the best hotel in the area. The man in the reception and the Islandic young lady were just THE BEST. We went out camping the day before our stay, it was a long night, it was raining so much and so hard that our tent was leaking and our jackets, sleeping bags and clothes were soaked. It has been raining for 24 hours so we wanted a not so expensive place to relax, with laundry or dryers and to have a night in a real bed, because forecast says it will still be raining tomorrow.

Well, there were available rooms that morning and I called asking if there was a dryer available, they say yes. When we arrived, the man in reception was very kind, he pointed us to the breakfast room and offer coffee and breakfast! This is the first time a hotel offers free breakfast when you are actually suppose to check in in the afternoon! So we will get 2 breakfasts for 1 night. We were not very hungry but ate some fruit and coffee.

Also, they gave us our room immediately, 7 hours before check in time! No extra charge!

Finally, the young and kind woman in reception received our huge sleeping bags, jackets and clothing, they took it to their own dryer machine, and after 1 hour she knocked on our door with everything already dry and at no cost!!!

The rooms are very big and clean, great location and views, please don't think anymore and stay at Hotel Framnes!

Clean rooms, very well located for Kirkjufell. Breakfast buffet perfectly adequate, kettle in room (but no cups or saucers?)

Not all rooms are the same, some spacious enough for 3 while some are very small for 2 (not enough room to open your luggages). No elevator and they have 3 floors but the receptionist was very kind enough to carry all our luggages up to our rooms, i think he has superhuman strength. :)
    Very near Kirkjufell.

Great hotel but located in the middle of a couple of fish factories, so the smell sometimes is annoying. The place itself is cozy and clean. Breakfast is good. Staff at the front desk is helpful. They helped me with a smal issue I had regarding my vehicle.

Walls are so thin I was able to hear the person next door open their toothpaste and brush their teeth. Every single issue presented to the front desk is met with "I'll look into that." and never resolved (example: I watched as 2 people complained about wifi and another person asked for cream for their room, all met with the same response). The second night we came back to a missing floor mat for the shower, the same wet towels from the morning and the same cups unwashed but flipped upside down like they had. The general sense I received is they do not like tourists. The view from room was pretty but there was some industrial noise from next door and several boats leaving in AM. Breakfast was cereal and toast. The room was nice otherwise and the bed was comfortable.

Worst Hotel we ever met. Very small rooms, extremely small bath (shower and toilet), no minibar, loud and industrial surounding. Unfriendly Receptionist and very small breakfast (toast, coffee and fish out of a glass)
