Charming little hotel with wood lined interior in a small quaint town. Big rooms and a large rec room.

We stayed at the campground right behind the hotel, which isn't affiliated with the hotel in any way, but the staff still helped us out and gave us good information about the area. The restaurant smelled absolutely amazing when I went in But we were on a budget and ended up cooking hotdogs at the campsite.

My second visit to this wonderfully quaint and charming hotel. The staff are lovely, the fresh scent of wood throughout is soothing, and the stunning mountains overlooking the property make this one of my favorite hotels, not only in Iceland, but the world.

Super friendly people working here! Unplanned stop on my cross country adventure. Comfy room. Good WiFi and free parking. Additionally, they have a sauna (included). What a treat! And by the way: the environment is beautiful! Definitely worth it to plan a stop here.

Looooved this place, which we happened upon - so lucky! Great staff, delicious food in the restaurant (we ate both dinner and breakfast here), and a newer, clean, cozy room in the adjacent building. Nice new linens and towels, and very comfy beds. Wonderful little town to walk around in that evening after dinner, and only a minute off the Ring Road. Ate the best seafood chowder of my life here (and I'm a New Englander, I know chowder).

Great place and wonderful location. I loved the wood in the rooms, sort of like a nice sauna construction. We arrived late, but they answered the doorbell really quickly. Comfortable beds, very clean rooms, helpful staff, good breakfast.

Got lost for 6 hours and wound up here at 3 in the morning when the hotel was closed. We found a number online to call and a lady picked up. She was in her house asleep when we called, yet walked 15 minutes in the frigid March winter cold to give us accommodation. After hours of being lost and then stuck on an impassable road, this hotel was a godsend.
Further, the room was amazing. It was all wooden and so cozy. It was the best place we stayed at during our trip around the entire country. I highly recommend this place!response / report this review -

Very nice hotel, all made of wood which make this place very romantic. It seems like "Twin Peaks" hotel.
