  Stayed here in Jan 17 and it was an absolute winter dream come true. I WISH we had done more than 2 nights here. However, the two nights were well worth it. In the winter, USE MAIN ROADS to visit and do NOT attempt the 633 pass over the mountain, it will beat you as they beat me. Even on a dry day, the snow drifts were too much to get a small SUV over the pass. Go AROUND the mountains via the 61 highway and connet to 633 on the other side. Aside from that, the service and staff are top notch and the food was phenomenal. My uncle and I did a hike right into the valley and the two hotel dogs even joined us! :)

  Wonderful place, great food, very friendly service, comfy rooms. We had the chance to see the northern lights from the natural hotpool outside with the wonderful horses walking around the place. Just loved it!

  Very lovely hotel in a small valley. The facilities are well maintained. The dinner as well as the breakfast were excellent with a lot of options. The staff is friendly. Horse riding was fun.

  Very charming place in a beautiful valley. It has a natural hot pot, a non-natural hot pot and a beautiful swimming pool in a greenhouse. This is a great place if you have kids, there's a playground, 4 friendly dogs and a lot of beautiful horses.
  The cosy restaurant/hotel lobby reminds us of the Great Northern hotel in Twin Peaks, it also has a lot of boardgames at its disposal. The food is absolutely delicious and the people are really nice.
  One of our favourite camping sites in Iceland.

  Newly renovated clean rooms, outdoor hot springs with mountain view. There are boardgames and a ping pong table in the common area/dining room. There's even a few weeks old baby arctic fox! Super cute. Beds are comfy.. Highly recommended!

  No Wi-Fi in the Summer House for some reason, and even in the main area it was flakey. Beyond that the whole place was a bit dated, needs a bit of a renovation I'd say. They also had no idea what room we were in, how many nights we stayed, what we ate for dinner or even our room number. Literally every detail about our stay they got wrong. Make sure you double check your bill! The actual stay was still very nice and comfortable but they need to update things a bit and get much more organized!

  We stayed there for one afternoon 3.5 years ago in summertime and now 4 nights in wintertime. Both times were very amazing and totally worth the trip to this beautiful place with very nice people working there. The rooms are new including natural floor heating, a nice bathroom. Words cannot describe the food as the breakfast (fresh bread each day), lunch and dinner (fresh fish) were sooo good that you just have to taste it by yourself. We were very lucky seeing the northern lights 3 nights out of 4. The manager told us that this year all saw them (when staying 4 nights) and last year the chance was 95%.

  One of the best moments possible. Sitting in a Hotspring at midnight watching the northern lights directly overhead. Lovely place to stay.

  Camped here for two nights after an 85 mile (~140km) bicycle ride from the north. A welcoming comfortable place nestled in a quiet subtle valley, I found the camping to be a delightfully ramshackle operation, no rocks beautifully firm ground for tent pegs, good solid home cooked food, and even treated myself to doing laundry (which was excellent as well.)

  Great natural hot pot. Food was good, but not great. Views were not as impressie as other locations in the west fjords.
