  Hella Horse Rental was a great experience ! We were both first time horse riders and our guide did a great job at starting us out on our ride. We are very happy we decided to ride horses on our trip to Iceland.

  My 8 year old son, wife, and I had a great time on the horses. We had no experience riding horses, but our guides were helpful in picking out horses for us with an appropriate disposition. Our guides were friendly and helpful and our hour on the trails was a lot of fun!

  We woke up at 5am. We emailed Hella right afterwards and asked if they had 2 spots open, I got a response within a few minutes, by 10am, we arrived and were on horses traveling with a group of 10+. The staff here was amazing, the horses were amazing (the one I had was the biggest horse Fenya and she had a lot of sass). The scenery was amazing. Dont complain about the weather, expect it to be cold and rainy and just accept it. The trip is about an hour and a half. I highly recommend this. We rode Icelandic horses, in Iceland, over some beautiful places. If you're on the fence, don't, I promise it will be a memory and experience you won't forget.

  We had a fantastic tour with the very friendly and wonderful horses at Hella horse rental. The guide was very friendly and gave good instructions that gave even me as a new beginner an amazing experience of tölting. The nature was so beautiful with river, flowers and the mountains in the distance. I was riding Njord, he was nice.
  I can really recommend to visit Hella horse rental.

  Worth every dollar. Best ride I have been on in 6 countries. Horses had no problem with my 6' 5" husband.

  Ingi took us riding through beautiful landscapes around Hella. He shared very interesting information and stories with us about Iceland and the volcanos, riding and the horses.
  We liked him and the horses so much, I forgot completely how scared I had once been around horses.
  Thank you again Ingi, it was really a pleasure.
