We stayed here August 2017. The hotel was very conveniently located close to the harbour in Stykkishólmur and perfect for exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The staff really were exceptional and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. I damaged my walking boots and Lara gave me a pair of boots to save me buying a new pair in Iceland which was prohibitively expensive. The rooms were spotlessly clean and breakfast basic but very nice. What made the stay 5 star was Lara and her daughter who treated us almost like family friends.

Nice, simple family-run hotel near the harbor and great restaurants. Lára was a great host and made a very nice breakfast spread, which is included in the reasonable price to stay here. Would definitely recommend, especially if you go to Narfeyrarstofa restaurant for dinner! Delicious!
