Only goat farm in Island. Great hosts. Organic farming and products. Perfect for families.
What an incredible way to spend an hour or 2.
We had such a great time learning and playing with the goats, even got to hold the baby kids.
Thank you for showing us around.
Can’t wait to try the products we bought.
Ps there’s a famous goat who starred in Game of Thrones.
Wonderful place! Greeted warmly, goats adorable, charming store, and fascinating location. Our best excursion while visiting Iceland! Don't miss out in the chance to hug a goat, learn a lot, and dogs were downright friendly!
Go spend time with the goats, they are friendly. Try some goat milk and ice cream, great place for the kids and friendly staff. Open at 1pm!
Lovely farm which allows visitors to get close to goats and even cuddle them!
GOATS!!!
Interesting to learn a few things about Icelandic goats. The shop has goat everything from the farm; sausage, cheese, soap, cream, pelts, sweaters. Nothing is wasted, everything is natural
Lovely farm, lovely people, and, yes I'll say it, lovely goats. One of the goats was "eaten by a dragon" in Game of Thrones, but really it was wonderful to see a farm keeping this rare breed of goats going in this lovely valley. Highly recommended!
This place was amazing. Super nice host, very informative. Holding baby goats was awesome. The shop had soap s, feta, and ice cream all made from the goats. Technically they dont open for tourist till June but she let us come look anyways.(my wife was dead set on it after watching the story on the plaCe on youtube) We came because Google said they were open. We spent about an hour, well work the cost to look and it benefits a great cause.
Thank you from Alaska!
Unique for the goats and their keepers!
Wow what a fantastic place. My little girl had the best time petting the goats. High quality products straight from the farm. :)
The goats of Iceland are a breed that is in danger of going extinct and the lovely farm of Háafell and it's owners are doing a great job of keeping it alive.
The admission you pay at the entrance (1500 ikr for adults, 750 for kids) goes directly into running the farm and giving us an opportunity to help save the Icelandic goat. The coffee is also included.
We also love that you only pay for two kids over the age of 7, even if you have more than that! We have 5 kids, ages 7-14 and it sure is nice to not have to pay for them all :)
A lovely goat farm with goat commodities for purchase, such as feta cheese, goat sausage, a goat fat based creams like tallow (kudos for them using the whole goat). There is a 1500 ISK charge for visiting and petting the goats (took less than 15 minutes), which would be nice if it was waived if you made a purchase.
Go here to see the Icelandic goats.
