Nice cafe, recently updated. It's a tourist spot, but try the meat soup (lamb soup/stew) It's tasty and filling and will keep you going. Comes with bread and tasty Smjor (Icelandic butter). It's expensive, but pretty cheap for Iceland prices

I ordered the meat stew (lamb) at the suggestion of our tour guide and I was glad I did. It was exactly what I wanted, nice and hearty with lots of meat and vegetables, unlike other soups and stews that end up being all broth. My girlfriend had tomato soup which was also very good, as well as a bagel with lox and creamcheese.

There is a souvenir shop, a cafeteria and a restaurant. Nice variety of souvenirs and things to buy at expensive price. Toilets are ok. The restaurant has a nice view and food is good.

Great views, the waterfall in the winter is stunning especially with the ice and the snow that surrounds it.

Their hearty and delicious Icelandic Lamb Meat & Vegetable Soup is a must try! Was told that it was the Grayline tour company who has suggested for this soup to be part of their menu. It's been so well received that all Grayline customers enjoy a small discount (200 Kr off) when they order this soup - just mention you are traveling with Grayline.

A bowl of their delicious lamb soup (kjötsúpa) will set you back ISK 1950, it is well worth it, very hearty.

This place was delicious! It wasn't very expensive, but the lamb stew was AMAZING and so was the hot chocolate and rolls. The beers are good, too. The only complaint was the panini was pretty lackluster and not worth 1500 ISK, but the soups and drinks are great and a good price.

A great warm place to eat, charge your phone, and then go outside and enjoy the beautiful sites of the Gullfoss Waterfall!

Best meat(lamb) soup I've tasted in Iceland. Plenty of places and, importantly, staff are super friendly and helpful.

The restaurant here is your only option to eat for kilometers. Everything is priced the same and it's all expensive (even by Icelandic standards). The food was good, but wow expensive. The rooms were spartan, but clean. Dark enough nearby to see the aurora borealis.

Not really worth your money. Save your appetite for something better. But hey, it's there, which is quite remarkable for a place so far out in the country.

Mad bustling shop and cafe that somehow seems to work, because in spite of all the people milling around, there weren't any serious queues! The meat soup was quite delicious, and very generous on the meat (lamb)!

I, like others, baulked at icelandic prices. But, the bottomless lamb stew is actually very good value. If you've ever had Irish stew, you'll know what to expect. It's hearty, warming and delicious. However, the bread rolls are an insult to humanity.

Other than the fantastic waterfall nearby, they do a brilliant hot chocolate. Properly melted chocolate. Perfect to warm you up after seeing the falls
