Loved it, we were treated like family. The breakfast was amazing and almost everything was fine made. If we ever have a chance to come back we will. Our room was very homey, larger soft bed and access to balcony. Unfortunately we lucked out on northern lights, oh well, one more reason to come back to Iceland again soon.

The loveliest place I've ever stayed there is nothing to fault. Warm, clean, comfortable generous breakfast with fresh baked bread. Our hosts were delightful and Odin their beautiful dog is a poppet. Reluctant to leave.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay at Guesthouse Heba. The two hosts provided a warm and genuine welcome to their comfortable home. We had a double room with a balcony facing the sea, where we sat after dinner on our last night to watch the sun go down.
The guesthouse is located in a quiet, predominantly residential town. It lies a short distance from Route 1 but has a direct and scenic connection to the Reykjanes Peninsula (Blue Lagoon, Seltún, Keflavik). The local sights include interesting lava formations from an ancient eruption, a small natural history museum and the seaside walk. It is a very calm, quiet place. One restaurant, a 5-minute stroll from the guesthouse, seems to have achieved modest national fame for its langoustine soup, and was one of the very few restaurants in which we ate where tourists were in the minority. The guesthouse offered to arrange a table for us there, but we had already reserved one. This combination of welcoming guesthouse, tranquil setting and good dinner and provided satisfying closure to a very full week of driving and sightseeing.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the shared areas, bedroom and bathroom are punctiliously maintained and full of character. Antique furniture and family heirlooms are everywhere.
The all-Icelandic breakfast, including homemade bread, was filling and delicious. It was great to share the table with other guests from around the world (although we were a little unlucky to have no common language). The resident dog, Odinn, was friendly but mostly kept to himself.
Based on my experience at the Guesthouse Heba, it is hard to imagine anybody being disappointed by their decision to stay there.response / report this review -

Great place. I think this is the best guesthouse we have stayed in all our holiday in Iceland. The hosts, Heba, her husband Kristjan and their lovely dog, Odin, are really friendly and make you feel like you are really guests in their wonderful home. The room is confortable with good beds and a table with chairs. Two of the four rooms have a wonderful view over the sea. You have a common area at your disposal to sit on a couch and read or talk with other guests. The breakfast is excellent: in their living room you have home made bread and jam, cheese and smoked lamb, skyr, coffe or tea, milk, orange juice.

Great stay, Heba and Kristjan are fantastic hosts. Heba had kindly made me some gluten free bread for breakfast which was delicious and I now have the recipe. A must stay if you are in the area.Odin their fur child is a delight too.

this was the most pleasant guesthouse we stayed in during our two weeks' stay in Iceland. Not only were we made to feel at home in our lovely bedroom (2 adults and our child), Heba and her husband went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast is memorable, home-made bread and jams and everything fresh and so tasty. The room we had gave onto the see, which is a stone's throw away from the house. Finally, there is an old fisherman's cabin in the little village definitely worth visiting, and an excellent fish restaurant a 5 minutes walk away. Heaven in Iceland!

Where to start! Heba and Christian have created an incredibly warm and welcoming guesthouse, perched in the small town of Stokkseyri. Both Heba and Christian put such wonderful energy into their guesthouse, beginning with their beautiful garden, art-filled home, elegant guestrooms, and incredible breakfast with homemade bread, hummus and Christian's famous coffee. Heba's artistic flare extends from her beautiful painting, pottery and baking. we loved every minute of our stay, including our visit to Heba's gallery!

A gorgeous guesthouse run by very lovely, friendly folks! Heba's breakfast was awesome (the fresh bread was top notch!), and she was very kind to chat with us about Icelandic culture and literature! We had a fantastic experience, and the view of the ocean from our room was so beautiful. We recommend staying here wholeheartedly!

Best place we stayed while in Iceland. We had an ocean front view which we could sit on the balcony and watch. The owner made home made bread that night and served it for breakfast. Best breakfast I've had! Amazing guest house. A must stay!!!!!
