Situated in the shadow of a mountain, very near the coast, this lovely house is simply perfect. Sjofn and Jon are the most welcoming and warm hosts, and ensured we had everything for our stay. The ground floor holds the kitchen, small lounge area, bathroom and four guest rooms. Upstairs, there is a panoramic lounge with games, tables, a TV, telescope and sofas - the perfect place to relax! We were also greeted by the friendliest little hound, Varmi, who made us feel right at home.
The room was very clean, of a comfortable size, and had a table and chairs should you need them. The kitchen had all one might need, and more. Coffee and tea is always on offer!
We had a lovely walk up into the hills near the house, guided by Varmi, and loved watching the hot spring water flow down into the crevisse. As it turns out, the water from here provides hot water to the entire property.
After a very comfy sleep, Sjofn had made a delicious breakfast with homemade jam, hand-picked blueberries, toast, eggs, and the most amazing Icelandic pancakes (lumma)!
We absolutely loved our stay, and just wish we could spend more time here.response / report this review -
