Fantastic seafood restaurant run by a lovely old couple. Everything served here is really fresh. By far the best meal I had in Iceland. The soup tastes great and the blueberry cake was exquisite.
For a non seafood lover (myself) to enjoy this meal, that's impressive. Also has a mini gift shop near the cash register.
Best food in Iceland! The hosts were so warm and welcoming. They grow their food in the greenhouse and have fresh caught fish.
Excellent food at this charming restaurant. Owner and his wife were very friendly, telling us about where he grew up and is horses!
We had the fish soup and the lobster tails. Both dishes were yummy. Fish soup was flavorful in a tomato base with lots of ingredients.
Lobster tails were cooked to perfection in a simple garlic butter sauce, which I feel, is the best way to enjoy lobsters!
The food was great! The best seafood soup I have had. My boyfriend had a pan fried fish and it was also delicious and the price was fair.
Wonderful fish soup and home made bread at the Restaurant at the End of the Universeit is a welcome sight after a morning of spectacular hiking along the cost of the peninsular.
Really nice Restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Delicious seafood. I had the fishsoup and my wife the pan fried trout. Both dishes were plenty and tasty. The price is average for iceland
Great restaurant on a beautiful road around the peninsula. The guy that runs it is super nice and offered us the seafood soup even though we arrived quite late. The soup was simply delicious!! With trout, shrimps and cod fish. We were also served a salad and bread on the side. The music was great :)
If I could give it 6 stars or more, i will! Everything is wonderful! My wife and I very enjoyed it!
Lovely folks who run this off the beaten path restaurant. This is Icelandic slow food at its best. Super fresh fish, great service, and delicious desserts make this a place you can't miss if you're in northwestern Iceland!
FYI this place is closed for the season. made the trek up there on the unpaved roads to find it doesn't open back up until mid april or may. spoke with the owner who is very friendly and nice. worth checking out if you're there in the spring. increadible views on the drive, but not after dark! we saw several mini waterfalls, a lighthouse and an artic fox!
A long trek out on a bumpy unpaved road, but the warm hearty soup will warm you to the core! Served with bread and salad both the seafood soup and lentil soup are just delicious! The owners are a lovely couple who spend summers in this area running the restaurant and their farm.
OMG the seafood soup is amazing. My wife got the lentils soup and she loved it. The salad and bread were very good too! For desert we had the skyrcake which was phenomenal. 6 solid stars!!!
A gem in the middle of nowhere.
It was good, but a let down at the same time. Service was great, very friendly k the phone and in person. The food was good but not what I wanted. I got crumbed Arctic Char which is not what I was expecting. It is nice they use the veg they grow there! Desert was good, not great. Dryish chocolate cake. For the drive to get there it should be better.
Great views though.
The atmosphere and the service make this restaurant worth visiting. However, the bread was not homemade and the fish soup was mostly onions. The lobster and desserts looked great but we did not try them.
