Pretty expensive for how unkempt the camping spots are. About $17.50 per person per night. The campsites were not paved or gravel, just grass and mud and with the weather hailing there was worry of the van getting stuck. Bathroom is small, 2 stalls one shower, hot water was nice but the light in the shower didn't work so it was a dark shower. There is a washer and dryer but it's like $3 per use, should be free considering the steep price to stay here. Staff was friendly however and we were able to pay after hours.
The staff was AMAZING and the facilities we're very well kept. There is an outdoor sink area, several large clean bathrooms each with 2 showers (1M/1F), and free WIFI.
Laura was very helpful and accommodating for my Husband and I in our campervan. We got in very late and were able to pay in the morning. She even helped us push start our car in the morning from a dead battery! Watercloset was clean but the shower didn't have much pressure. Seemed to take forever to rinse my hair.
When we visited in October it was closed, yet the gates remained open. It's located in a farming town, so there is a bit of light pollution around, yet we saw the northern lights while staying here. There are toilets and showers. All clean and working nicely.
Good facilities, friendly staff and a nice view
After reading some mixed reviews we checked it out and it was actually very nice. Extremely fair price that includes a shower, very nice staff, and some of the cleanest bathrooms we have come across.
No indoor facility, just a party tent (in windy Iceland!) with benches and a "table" made of five stacked pallets. All camping areas pretty far from toilets and showers (they're up on a hill, a decent walking distance is essential because of Icelandic weather). No good place to pitch a tent in shelter from winds. Overall not a very scenic place to open a camping.
All in all, you're probably better off camping in the wild.
Very unpleasant environment for a camping site. There isn't any cooking facility except for a party tent with two benches along with a stack of pallets. Remember to bring an umbrella when doing your dishes because the roof is leaking and you'll get wet! Hot showers without any cost (which is good), other than that, it's a disappointment.
The camping is ok. There are toilets with washing room and hot showers, but is extremly large, with many campers and during the night, at 3 am, some drunk guy threw himself on our tent and broke it in several places. Now we have to buy another so this camping actually cost us a lot and it is not worth the risk of smth like that to happen.
Easy camping.
Amazing place, very cleaned and the staff is really nice
Awful experience. Will not be going there again.
Keine Möglichkeiten, sich bei Regen aufzuhalten, außer in Zelt oder Wohnwagen.
