  Super unique, moss-covered lave rocks. You should pull over to take pictures at one of the pull-offs, but don't step on or touch the moss. It is very special and is sensitive so it can be ruined if you touch it. Justin Bieber was ridiculed for filming a video there and stepping on the moss so don't pull a JB.

  Tuvimos suerte de poder ver el campo de lava. El tiempo que pasamos en Islandia, mayormente, estuvo todo el tiempo nevado; pero a la última semana el temporal hizo desaparecer toda la nieve y empezamos a movernos por la isla y visitar rincones como este. La verdad es que visualmente impacta mucho más que con una imagen! Vale la pena aparcar bien el coche y observar a lado y lado de la carretera esos magníficos campos de lava!

  A good view point of those magnificient lava fields is on Road #1 about 60 km from Vik towards East , there is a picnic sign on the right side of road. There you will find a big parking space, information signs and a platform to look around that amazing view.
