We stayed at Blue Mountain apartments for 4 nights in March 2018 as a base for day-trips to the south/west parts of iceland. Staff were very friendly, room was clean and had everything we needed. Location was great - Easy access to highways for day-trips, grocery store within walking distance, short drive into Reykjavik.

Very clean and an amazing view! Johanna was very nice and kind. They have free laundry facilities and fridge, stove, and oven in each room. It is in walking distance of the Bonus grocery store, a thrift store, and a cafe is also close by. Highly recommend having a car if you stay here (and the parking I'd free!)

A fantastic hotel. It has a kitchenette. We stayed in room 404, which had a spectacular view of mountains and a lake. WOW! There is a community pantry downstairs where people have left food for future guests. We contributed to this as well, since we also didn't need all our groceries.

Stayed here in the middle of winter but it was still an incredible experience. We got room 604 and the view was breathtaking. Despite the cold and only 6 hours of sunlight per day, we had a really rewarding stay here, cuddled up drinking hot chocolate with the heaters running and looking out the window. The laundry service was a life-saver and the close proximity to grocery/bakery/pharmacy made the trip easier as well. Short drive to downtown Reykjavik, the staff is very helpful with recommendations. I had a chance to meet the owner and she is very charming and friendly. They allowed me to check in quite early, so if your flight is arriving early in the morning, perhaps call ahead to request this because there will most likely be nowhere to go and wait for check-in time. Overall, highly recommended. If you are staying near Reykjavik, stay here.

Comfortable beds, TV, open access, good quality WiFi, fabulous shower, FREE LAUNDRY with FREE detergent downstairs ( there are no coin laundry facilities in Reykjavik, at least we were not able to find any during our previous visit ), ample parking, Bonus grocery store / supermarket across the street, fridge, oven, convection stove, toaster, tea kettle, plates, mugs, glasses, aluminium baking sheets, spoons, forks and knives. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because for some idiotic reason there was NO MICROWAVE (?!!!!)

This was a phenomenal place. The room was nice and bright, free laundry at the lobby. The owner was great and the receptionist was so helpful. We were able to check in super early - they had a room ready. In walking distance there is this eatery, Skalli, which had yummy pizza and fish and chips.

This is a great place to stay. The apartments are excellent, seem brand new and are nice and clean. The hosts are very friendly as well, providing good tips, directions, etc. There's a grocery and a bakery right across the street as well as a restaurant, so you can choose if you wish to prepare your own meals or dine out. Free parking, free wifi that actually works and a gym. You cannot go wrong with this place!

Reviews on here are accurate. Great view of mountains. Very nice apartment. Spacious. Comfortable bed. You do need a car and it's a little hard to find at night. Supermarket and a restaurant across street for convenience. Highly recommended. Oh and did I mention views..

Staying on the top floor with a great view. Location is good with shops across the road and a gym underneath. Parking is provided and a 15 min drive gets you to Reykjavik centre or 2 mins to the main road into the middle of the island and the Golden Circle. Kitchen area is small but useable and the flat is comfortable and good value.

AMAZING. This was the most comfortable place to stay ever, theres a supermarket within walking distance (Bonús/Bónus) and I really recommend the chicken flavour of Rookee brand noodles, they taste awesome. I'm suggesting this cos the Skalli restaurant near this hotel is expensive, and Blue Mountain provides you with: an oven, pan, kettle and pot to cook with as well as seasonings.
The rooms are open plan, so the only place that is truly seperate is the sliding door between the bathroom and the main area. The kitchen, bedroom and main area are all connected, but theres a small wall in the middle of the space where the tv is to block immediate view of the bedroom. I slept on the sofa and my parent's slept in the bed, but you can pull a section from underneath the couch so it was super comfortable.
