  I am giving this 5 stars because it is beautiful and a must see. The the views are outstanding. Be warned! The road to Dettifoss is treaturous. We drove our camper van. The potholes and stones were of the gigantic type. Take your time! Even at a conservative speed I managed to lose a hubcap and hit a rock the size of a basketball. Still worth it.

  Good parking lot and great views of the waterfall. It was nice to have a WC here for free use.

  Another beautiful waterfall in Iceland - a perfect detour if it fits into your route (no need to make a special trip)

  The drive there was over a gravel road - going to the other side would have been on a normal road - but the view was stunning.
