More of a hotel feel than the farm experience we were expecting. The rooms are good, clean, and spacious. The food was average, if reasonably priced. The views of the glaciers are quite good.

PROS:
The staff was very polite and helpful. Even though the hotel was in the middle of nowhere (which is good if you want to chase the Northern Lights), it had decent internet connection. It also had amazing views of glaciers and mountains. Also, every room has its own bathroom.
CONS:
To be fair, I was grateful that every room had a private bathroom since that is not that common in rural Iceland. Meanwhile, I think the bathrooms can be improved because there is nothing separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom.
Also, the TV had only one or two channels. One of them is Glacier TV, which runs the same 30-min clip over and over and over the entire day. We certainly did not come to Iceland to stay in the room and watch TV, but it would be nice to have an option because there is nothing else nearby the hotel. While the owners are very kind, I think the hotel is somewhat overpriced like several other tourist traps in Iceland.response / report this review -

The hotel was great, very clean rooms, the heated floor is just amazing, it made the room so comfortable. The only bad note was the buffet dinner, which was schoklingly expensive and not very good at all, I recommend you drive to Höfn for dinner instead!

Staff welcomed us in and were very friendly. View from room on North East side was outstanding of the Glacier tongues. Rooms looked recently renovated. On the way out we noticed other rooms didn't have the nice new floor ours did. They make their own ice cream here and had strange delicious flavors. They offer dinner buffet here. Breakfast was the only one we had in 7 days with eggs provided. 5/5 would recommend to anyone.

Stayed overnight and had a great dinner and breakfast. The people were very nice, accommodations were great. The only negative is that the walls are quite thin. But I would definitely recommend.
