  I'm from Washington DC and there is no bakery half as good as Bjorn's in the DC area. And as far as pricing goes, it's cheaper than pretty much everything in Reykjavik (except for Bonus, of course)

  Made by hands and freshly baked every day. Hringbraut location has been there since the house was built in 1948.

  Excellent bakery. They have sandwiches, pastries (cookies, crossaints, donuts), and bread that they'll slice on request. The prices are surprisingly low for Reykjavik; this might be a local secret. If you're visiting the National Museum of Iceland, this place is a block away and definitely worth the quick walk!

  This bakery chain had a few more locations throughout the city, now it's really limited. Hit and miss, mostly. Some items are good, while I'm not a big fan of their pastries.

  Sure it's small but the food is excellent and perfect for snagging a snack on the way into town. Probably would have spent a lot more time here if I was in Reykjavik longer

  Wonderful little bakery just down the street from our hotel (Radisson Blu Saga). We stopped by in the morning for baked goods and nibbled on them all day long! Yummy!
