The room was very big and comfortable. For the price, it was a great place to stay. Breakfast is a standard german-style with sliced meat and cheese, yogurt, fruit, bread and cereal.

Clean and modern hotel near rye city center. The staff is really nice and there is plenty of parking in the back of the hotel.

A so-so experience. First up, the negatives: The outer appearance of this hotel is nice, but if you look closer, the hotel was never finished. Unsecured concrete slabs, steel reinforcement and an unfinished facade can be seen. There are unfinished downspouts on the back which leak water, so algae can grow. Inside you get the same impression, the automatic doors don't open normally, the entrance hall is unfinished with a bare ceiling with cables hanging out, rails which seem to only temporarily secure the upper floors are made of badly painted plywood. The breakfast room is nicely set up, the entry desk is fine too. Only the drain pipes from the sanitary facilities above lead through the room below the ceiling.
Now to positives: The rooms were ready before the usual check in time which was great, the staff is courteous and helpful. The hotel entrance, breakfast room, stairs and hallways are all clean and comfortable. The elevator is big enough for every person and luggage. The rooms are brilliant, clean, classy. There is nothing more to wish for. There is a rich breakfast every morning (keep in mind food is very expensive in iceland!).
Overall the rooms offer a nice stay, the breakfast is nice. To fit higher standards, which the owner clearly wants to reach with the high prices charged for a room there's a lot to be done on the surface of the building. Though in the end im just an architect who actually cares for this kind of things. If you are here to sleep, eat breakfast and see mother nature and also have the money to pay the rent: go for it.response / report this review -

Wayyy too expensive for what you get. Rooms were clean and new though. Breakfast was very limited. Zero amenities. Not even shared space amenities like microwave, ice or vending.

This hotel is small, nicely located in Selfoss and has some good facilities. The totally free WiFi is excellent and can get good signal in most places. The breakfast is good quality apart from maybe lacking some choice. Rooms are good, bathrooms better; clean, cosy, warm, and perfect after a cold winter day out. Supermarket is around the corner and would reccomenx this hotel if thinking of staying in Selfoss.
The decor of the hotel seems to be unfinished, with balconies made out of wood, side of the building unpainted, and not much decoration which they could definitely benefit from in the main area.
Note: nearly no tours start from here, so would have to go to Reykjavik (an hours drive).response / report this review -

Nicely located Hotel and Appartment in the heart and Selfoss. We stayed here for one night on our travel along Iceland's south coast and had a nice stay. Supermarket and KFC are right around the corner and there are enough parking locations available.
We booked a room in the hotel part of Bella, the room was clean and large enough for us two, luggage and did also include a large working desk. Breakfast with good choice was included and is served in the ground floor right next to the reception.
Sadly I forgot my cameras battery in the Hotel room, but after a short email-contact they sent it to my home location at the other end of Europe. So I can fully recommend this location, five stars.response / report this review -
