  Loved the place. Very clean. Very friendly. Excellent common kitchen and amazing owner. Excellent choice. Do not be afraid of common bathroom. In this location is not a problem at all.

  I have never felt so well cared for! I really felt like I found an ally in Iceland to give me advice. The washer here was broken so our hostess took our laundry home and brought it back fresh and folded. We enjoyed our stay so much. Great accommodations and a great hostess!

  Nice place to stay and they have hot tub from 6.30pm until 11pm.. Staying in room 201 everything was great except the toilet air filter is a bit noisy and its auto stop.. So basically every time the lights is on, it make very noisy sound.. 😒 Overall, staff is very friendly and kitchen is very clean.. 👍🏻

  One of the best valued guest houses we have stayed in our 8 days trip in Iceland, with great clean rooms and shared kitchen (free coffees) and bathroom facilities. Great if you are tight in budget and want to cook your own meals. Theres plenty of free parking around. Manager is very friendly and helpful too, so for the money, I serously have no complains at all.

  Lovely guesthouse run by a lovely family. Host was kind and offered a room change for us even without asking due to a glitch in the alarm system in our room. Kitchen was well equipped with oil, salt, pots, pans, etc. Toilet was clean with good pressure. Best place I've stayed in iceland at a good price.

  This was an excellent guesthouse to stay at in a nice little town with good dining options. The host was very kind and the room was clean with a nice private bathroom.
  
  Breakfast is not included, but there is a kitchen available for use to make food yourself.
  
  Coffee is provided for free in the morning and there is a nice greenhouse you can sit in to enjoy the coffee in the morning.
  
  There is also a hot tub which we did not use on our trip.
  
  I would highly recommend staying at Guesthouse Garun if you are staying near Selfoss.

  The room was big, clean and fully renovated, however, there were no toiletries, no place to hang towels in the bathroom and it was the only place we stayed at where the water smelled terrible. The kitchen was fully equipped and completely at our disposal. It's close to the supermarket and restaurants. It had a hot tub and a quiet reading area but, unfortunately, we didn't have time to use them.

  This could be the most value for money accommodation in Selfoss. Spacious room, clean, quiet environment, modern facilities, excellent wifi connection, free hot tub usage, we have a great rest during our stay here. The guesthouse is off the main road yet close to the town, perfect location. The host is very friendly and very helpful, offering a lot of valuable information to the guests. Definitely will stay again if we come to Selfoss.

  We stayed one night here coming back from Gulfoss. This was our first time staying in a shared bathroom accommodation, and it exceeded all expectations. Our double room was spacious and the super clean bathrooms just a few steps outside the room door. We did not use the shared kitchen facilities, but this too appeared cozy and spotless. Staff were polite and friendly. Highly recommended.

  Nice amenities and ample amount of bathrooms for sharing. Just note that the walls are thin and you can hear your other guests.
