Most dinner entrees include self service soup and salad bar. Definitely worth it for those looking for some veggies.
Good service, good food and good price too, voila!
Local Icelandic food including whale, horse and guillemot. Soups are also homemade, portions are large
You can try the whale here. But I didn´t enjoy it.
The real saga Grilled whale (F**k Greenpeace) Magic. Main course accompanied by variety of soup and salad bar, so 40 EURO is not an enormous price, splash with Viking beer and be happy for just 50
And if somebody says about wrong burgers here, this is ICELAND I do not want stuff I can take from my own grill
Good restaurant. A little expensive but so is every good restaurant in Iceland. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent.
Nice restaurant with good food and friendly staff.
Normal icelandic prices but absolutely worth it.
Fairly good prices for the island. The salad bar and soup make up for somewhat mediocre main courses. Probably worth a visit if you're interested in the novelty of traditional Icelandic dishes but want to make sure you get a palatable meal.
Here i got my worst pasta i have ever had the pastasauce was like water and milk mixed together and tasted like water. For desert i got icecream because i tought you could't mess up icecream but they served it icecream whit whipped cream that was lumpy and sour it was not eatable.
Great place for the soup and salad bar. Lovely location and the menu is nice with many traditional Icelandic dishes. Been there both for lunch and dinner and both where great!
Although the restaurant was empty personnel was very slow. They forgot for our drink and was almost impossible to get attention. Food was not something special and anyway it's really overpriced. It was worst restaurant from whole Island for us.
A nice sit down restaurant after a long day touring. The place was busy but the staff was very attentive to our needs. The salad bar was very extensive, I haven't seen one like this around. The prices were a bit high but seems on par with everything else in the area. The big plus was the kids menu items included a free ice cream.
Food and service were great. We had the buffet soup and salad included in our main dishes which were very good. Great place to try typically Icelandic seafood dishes.
A bit overpriced as you feel processed, maybe that or we were fed up of the Americans being really noisy. It caters for those who want to eat 'traditional' Icelandic food that even the Icelandic people don't eat so it's basically a tourist restaurant. 'Whale, Puffin etc'. But you can eat normal food, the soup is great and the salad bar itself is good. Would eat there again but not or dinner.
If you are looking for a quick fix after a strenuous day filled with hiking incredible places, this place has a good buffet of soups (usually two choices) and salads (make-your-own). Just make sure you are done by 8:30pm and you are out the door by 9pm. We stepped in the restaurant around 8:45pm, and they were already clearing the tables around us and gave us 15 minutes to make our own salads as they would soon be closing the salad bar down. We ordered a Hash Fish and Lamb Shank respectively, from the traditional menu, which was a huge mistake as 1) the meals, at best, were microwaved and 2) we spent the rest of the evening regurgitating pieces of it. No time was given to eat in peace, as every minute ticking after 9pm felt like we were barging on the time of the staff.
Pretty good restaurant. Tried the whale steak. It was meaty at the beginning and fishy at the end; very interesting and a little tough, but definitely a novelty. The unlimited soup and salad are pretty good as they are included with most meals. Service was great, though!
