My husband and I recently got married in Iceland and our entire wedding party stayed at Hotel VOS. Gyda and her staff were absolutely amazing and they went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The location of this hotel is also hard to beat! We cannot wait to make another trip to Iceland and stay here again!!

This place is truly gem! We had an amazing stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the hot tub outside gives you a great place to catch the northern lights. They have beautiful stables to hang out with the horses and the breakfast is the best we had in all of Iceland. Homemade jams, bread, and the cured meats are made by an Italian man in the small town. You are going to love this place. I guarantee it!

Friendly owner and lovely small hotel. Great breakfast was included. This is a bit off the main road. View of the Northern Lights would've been great but our one night stay was pretty cloudy night.

Off the main road, almost hidden, but then it just keeps to surprise you. Friendly owners and the staff, new, spacious and clean rooms, lovely hot tub outside, superb food, horses outside. I am sure I forgot somethingkids loved it and we want to come back. See you soon again.

Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable beds and amazing food. Got to visit the horses in the stable and enjoyed the hot tub. Great place to stay. Were there for 3 nights and wish we were able to stay longer.

I can't wait to return to Hotel Vos. Cozzy, modern, and quiet!!!! The staff was amazing. friendly,helpful, accommodating. The breakfast every morning was great with fresh baked breads, a make your own waffle station,cereals, yogurts, coffee, tea, eggs, meats, etc. dinners here were top notch also, local ingredients turned into fine dining. Coffee machine and tea available 24 hrs. This hotel is also about an hour out of Reykjavik so you are never too far from town but also your closer to all the beautiful sites along the coast that you will want to visit. Great way to get a head start.

This place was perfect! The cutest little hotel far off from the main road which is perfect for viewing the northern lights. The staff and owner were welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean, comfy, and the included breakfast was delicious. If you’re traveling the ring road this is an excellent option.

Nice and new spot. Staff is welcoming and very keen to make your stay a great one. We only stayed one night and they provided a great breakfast (waffles, fresh baked bread, vegetables) an hour earlier for us so we could start our drive North. It's a bit off the main road but definitely worth it.

I highly recommend Hotel Vos to anybody traveling along the southern coast of Iceland. It is clean, cozy, and has amazing food for dinner (reasonably priced) and breakfast (which is included).

I am a vegetarian and they accommodated me with a hearty and delicious dinner upon my arrival. My fiancée had the fish which was also a huge portion and she said it was delicious. They offer a 3 course prix fixe dinner or a la carte. The breakfast had good strong coffee, a waffle maker, homemade bread, skyr, cheese, cereals, meats, fruit, and delicious homemade jams.

The rooms are beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The hostess is very friendly. The wifi is reliable. The town of thykvaeber is a small farming town which is nice to take a walk around in the morning.

We will definitely stay at Hotel Vos again next time we are in Iceland. We are very happy we found it!

Great place with a modern elegant design, comfortable and clean beds and excellent breakfast. The family that runs the place is very nice and friendly and as other guests mentioned you won't want to leave. Gyda came out to watch the northern lights with us as this place has a minimaly polluted sky and is a great spot to watch sky at night.

What a great place. I was skeptical at first, for being slightly out of the way, but really, you can't beat this place, the people who run it and the service. Breakfast and dinners were fantastic. You will get a peaceful night of sleep, have a great spacious shower, and wont want to leave. I would suggest this place for self-guided fishing people due to its proximity to the rivers.
