Parking spot with WC. Start point for the easiest walk in the region-A1
A short walk on a level forest path takes one to a little pond at the base of the canyon with a variety of birds. A good photo spot to capture the walls of the canyon!response / report this review -

Well worth the drive to this rather remote area. A short walk southward from the parking lot takes you to a tiny lake surrounded by cliffs. These were formed by a flood that is beyond imagination, and today make for a pretty spot to take in nature.

Strange, claustrophobic place, with willow forest and high walls around. During our stay in Iceland the only spot with no wind at all :)
