  We hiked from Dettifoss to Asbyrgi on the hiking trail on the west side of the river. The trip was amazing with stunning nature! Note that it's a long hike between campgrounds and camping outside of those is illegal. Also the the trail is a bit hard if you bring a lot of gear.

  Theres a hike going to up the canyon from the Visitor Center.
