Fantastic collection. Beautifully designed building. The curved ramp is reminiscent of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in NYC.

If you are a Art lover then you must visit Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art to enjoy contemporary Art. Different exhibitions are organized too so, you can visit the Museum in your free time.
When first time, I came in Tehran, this was a first place which I visited and I like it indeed very much. Please, if you don't have interest in Art then don't waste your money & time as it could be boring for you to visit the museum.

There is a world class exhibit for the next three months which encompasses the works of Ali Akbar Sadeghi, the most prominent Iranian artist whose works span around half a century. Paintings, animation, sculpture, audio bites, etc. A marvel of imagination beautifully said out for your senses, in a unique architectural venue in Tehran. Whether you catch this exhibit or not, don't skip this museum.

The Museum of Contemporary Arts is one of the most prominent Iranian and world museums, and is home to tremendous treasures of the world's greatest artists such as Gauguin, Renoir, Picasso, Magritte, Ernest, Polock, Warhol, Levitt, and Jacques. The construction of this museum is inspired by the Iranian wind turbines. This beautiful museum was built in 1978 and is located at the corner of the Laleh Park of Tehran, which was then called the Farah Park. The museum has 9 galleries, with 3 galleries dedicated to preserving the valuable works of the artists, and 6 temporary galleries are located on the visitor's visitor's site, so that visiting them for those who go to the Museum of Contemporary Art will be very simple and pleasant. Was. There are works of art and sculptures from artists from different countries around the world. The most famous of these works is the "Therapist" by René Magritte, a Belgian painter.

I visited the museum during Parviz Tanavel exhibitI can't say how good they pulled it offIt was fantastic. The way a visitor advances through exhibits and how are they arranged was done just excellently Although it's always empty, since Iranian people aren't much into art

Mysterious museum. Most of the galleries are designed underground and it looks smaller than what it really is on the street view. A wide ramp covered with old fashioned dotted ceramics takes you to the galleries.
Expose concerete and rough finish for inerior surface are the specific features of its interior design.

Absolutely beautiful. The collection is unlike anything outside of Western Europe and NYC. Just wish the government would look after the building and the area more. But if you like art, you must must must visit

This will be a mixed review: the exhibition at the time of visit (October 2016) was not very interesting (endless pictures of deserts). The building itself is very interesting as well as a couple of the sculptures in the gardens (including a Matisse and 2 Giacomettis). I really hope that one day they will be able to exhibit the huge collection locked in the vaults (including the Jackson Pollock printed on the entry tickets). This can easily become a 4 or 5 stars.

Amazing cutting-edge reinforced concrete building hosting Teheran museum of contemporary art. A maze of long corridors and slow sloping ramps with a beautiful grand lobby in the form of a spiral ramp "a lo" Guggenheim. Completely worth the visit.
