nice location near the square, nice coffeeshop, clean room and bathroom, lovely quiet atmosphere. I like the courtyard and coffeeshop. Affordable

Budget choice. Beds with shared shower room and toilet. Price includes a breakfast from 0730 to 1030. The counter provide money exchange service at a decent rate. They also sell local tours, bus tickets, and postcards.

The courtyard is the best thing of the hostel. The staff friendly and helpful. The price inclusive of breakfast is good for budget travellers. Close to tourist destinations.

Very mixed feelings.
If you're lucky, you'll end up in a beautiful dorm with views to the patio, spacious, and with great people.
If you're unlucky, you'll end up in dorm 1, with a window over the reception onto the road (i.e. high levels of noise and pollution), and with the red signpost of the hotel on top of it, which was ON for the whole night (giving the room a red hue for the entire time).
Breakfast however was good, the patio is beautiful, the travellers I met were really nice, and the hotel is cheap!
Con: No lockers! Sleep with your money on your body or else risk the unthinkable!response / report this review -

This hostel is still overpriced in regard of what it offers. Private rooms can barely fit a bed, are noisy and cigarette smoke from downstairs reaches the rooms. Breakfast is limited, and only max 2 cups of tea before they start charging money. Also they randomly close the inside common area at 20:00, which is rather inconvenient since coffee/tea are not available like advertised. This is especially annoying waiting for a night bus with temperatures dropping to near 0. Can't say Amir Kabir is the worst hostel I've been to, but I'm sure there are better choices in Isfahan.

Worst environment of the seven hostel group, as compared to Tehran, Kashan and Shiraz. Very old and basic hostel.
Pros:
Easy to reach via bus 91 or subway from bus terminal. Bus 91 also goes to Vank Cathedral.
Walking distance to main tourist attractions in city centre. Simple breakfast provided. Fast food outlet just beside hostel.
Cons:
No lockers. Rooms do not have windows and are very stuffy without much ventilation. Would reckon that summer will be unbearable in those rooms.
Toilets are not clean. Showers are in small cubicles with only hooks, no place for toiletries.
Service:
An elderly staff was very friendly despite not being able to speak English but the manager who could speak English was a bit hostile.Iresponse / report this review -

For this price you will get basic things: clean room and shared toilet and shower. Nice garden and helpful staff. It's very close to metro station so you could with out any problem come there by subway from bus terminal.

AVOID!
This hostel is full of liars. Their business is to never admit if they are fully booked. We made a reservation in advance, and ended up staying at some random awful hotel of "their friend" 2km further away from the center, with broken communal toilets, and dirty beds. Even if we had to move because of their fault, they didnt cover the taxi fee and they wanted to take us in a taxi which was 2x more expensive than normal price.response / report this review -

Great place to stay in Esfahan. Its one of the few backpack places so a good place to meet other travellers. The staff is friendly and can help you with anything you want, boat tickets, bus tickets or just a nice talk! Breakfast is oke and rooms are nice and clean. Only thing is that there are no lockers available.

I would definetely recommend this place. Especially if you are a budget traveler like I am. I can not remember exactly but I think the price was 30.000 tomans per night(6 people dormitory room, breakfast included). The breakfast was magnificent. A very polite old lady served us a big substantial breakfast plate. We had a very fun breakfast in the roofless hall of the hostel. Additionaly staff was very polite and helpful. Since online hotel booking is not very possible in Iran, this hostel can be an awesome experience for you. Do not try to search for places to stay like I did under the scorching sun for 6 hours and if you don't have any other options, definetely opt for this hostel.

I’ve stayed here three nights at Feb 2017. This hostel, frankly speaking, is so so. With some proc ans cons. First of all about proc. Location is perfect, all main things in walking distance. Personal is very helpful and english speaking. Breakfast is really good. Prices are reasonable. Now about cons. My dormed room was slightly over crowded. Not many places, for example, to charge devices. No cupboards to storing things. Shower was in the garden, so it’s not a very pleasure to go through it at Winter. And sometimes hot water was absent. Also a lot of strange local people were here. So take a decision which things are mostly important for you before staying here.

For the price range this a really good place to stay as a backpacker, dormitories are not too big, relatively clean and there is a nice courtyard for breakfast and tea in the evening. Helpful staff and walking distance to the city center. Restrooms could be better maintained.
