I gave that one star cause İ had to, this place does not deserve even half of the star.
Horrible horrible place
and the problem isn't having no english speaking workers. The staff are completely rude and disrespectful, all they care about is money and the thing is they do not deserve that money because the service is awful.

Safe place to spend your wedding here, they have balcony in front of Tigris river, cool services. Not big hall for events and meeting.

The only good thing is the working staff, they are polite and clearly enthusiastic about there jobs they try hard to serve well but lack adequate training.
The hotel is exhausted, it have been refurbished in recent years but in low quality furniture that is already falling apart, worse then that is the maintenance which is so bad that you can see the paint splattered over the furniture, the carpet stained everywhere, the balcony door don't close fully which means no sound isolation and you can hear the cars in the near abu nwas street.
The people to blame is the management for not following up by checking the rooms and when confronted with the problems they thank you to notify them but nothing been done.
Finally regarding the breakfast it's average or below when i asked for a cafe late they used turkish coffee with steamed milk!!!
It's a shame they pretend to be a five star hotel.
