Went for a family meal. 13 people, so a fairly large party. Food was absolutely awful, especially considering the price of some of the meals. Some meals were brought out so late that other family members had already finished their meals. Teenage female waitress was incredibly rude and had the intelligence of a slug. Honestly have no idea how the average rating is 4.3. Have been coming here every few years and each time is a disappointment.

I have eaten here for nearly 20 years. For most of the menu they have two portion sizes which is great for those people that don't want a huge meal. Also have a good children's menu. Most days they also have a specials menu. They both a resteraunt and a bar, even dogs welcome there. Very friendly.

We took my mum and my nephew to the marine for lunch,so I had a large prawn salad,it was bloody gorgeous,my wife had the steak in a sauce it was so gorgeous, then I had the lemon meringue pie and ice cream just melted in my mouth,my wife had the sticky toffee pudding with custard,to die for,the marine has always been good for the food and the large portions you get,I will always go back there when I am at home

The best roast on the island and real chips. Been coming here for 8 years and never had a bad meal. The dining room is always busy and the bars are usually packed. Friendly staff and an amazing choice of drinks. A beautiful, historic building with fantastic views over Peel.

The food was excellent I can not fault it, real home cooked British food! Service was friendly and efficient also and fairly priced. There are clean toilets and a wheel chair and pram friendly entrance as well as space inside for them. The lighting is a bit dull especially for the day time

Very friendly service on the front at Peel.

Good portions, decent food and reasonable prices.

Decor is a bit of a time warp but otherwise ok.

Ate here for the first time, great menu with loads to chose from, huge portions so great that there's an option for a smaller plate with most ( which was very substantial ) I had braised steak which was beautiful served with potatoes and veg which was a welcome treat from the chips with everything that you usually get during the TT!

Peel Heritage Trust held their annual Christmas party at The Marine, 8th Dec 2016. The menu choice, food and value for money was all excellent. 29 people attended and had a great evening with food, quiz and a raffle. Nothing was too much trouble. Place was clean and warm. Thank you Mick and the Marine staff for a lovely evening.

    Appalling.

Dated, dark, stained and stinking of urine. Appeared to be run by children. Tables lined up like school dinners.

Got a steak pie, couldn't push my fork through the "Puff Pastry" it was disgusting. Told my son to stop eating when we saw the quality of the food. When I complained the girl just "switched off" for a second, said nothing then took my plate away.

After telling our family (who are locals) about our experience they all said "Yup..avoid that place". One friend said they had worked there previously and they re-use uneaten veg and re-fry uneaten chips.

    Avoid like hell.

We had a Sunday Lunch here as a family of seven. I had pork which doesn't come with a yorkshire pudding. Don't bother asking for one or you'll be refused. The meal was very dry, but when my wife asked for extra gravy she was told we would have to pay for it. This płace used to be OK for a pub, but has never changed for many years and is now looking very dated and scruffy. Give it a miss.
