Absolutely Brilliant. Cheap price for Penthouse suite. Free Breakfast, but better after 7:30. Buses & horse trams run outside, but traffic is quiet, really friendy staff. Thanks for the stay!

Staff are very friendly and rooms are cleaned daily. Breakfast is buffet style help yourself affair although kippers can be requested. Unfortunately some of the food dries out quite considerably under the heat lamps. Not sure what can be done about this unless they put less out and replenish more frequently. We stayed in a triple room.the criticisms were 1) TV was situated on a TV stand which made viewing difficult from two beds and impossible from the third 2) the room was very hot and limited ability to ventilate as only one window opened slightly and no window in en-suite. Evening dining is available, we didn't partake in this but it seemed very reasonably priced and well attended.

My room had a fantastic sea view, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and also free breakfast! The staff were really friendly and very helpful when I was trying to sort out renting a car. Breakfast in the restaurant was good and had variety. The location of the hotel is ideal, central but far enough away from all the bars and pubs to be a relatively quiet area considering it was right on the promenade! Only a 10 to 15 minute walk down the promenade to all the shops and bars and restaurants. 5 minutes walk from the electric railway (tram) station. At least 5 buses go up and down the promenade so there will be one every few minutes basically, and most of them go to the airport which is about a 35 to 40 minute journey. Promenade is full of motorcycles during TT of course so it can get a bit loud at times but in general not too bad. I wish I could have stayed here longer! Overall a fantastic stay at the Hydro Hotel!!!

Stayed here from the 17th of March for 3 nights party of 5 adults, could not fault this hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating, breakfast plentiful, rooms clean and tidy. Will definitely return.

Sam my fiancé n i both enjoyed staying at the hydro all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious and we had a beautiful sea view. breakfast was lovely, nothing was to much trouble. Would most definitely return. Thanks to all the staff for a very please stay

We used to stay at this hotel every year until three years ago when we had so many issues that it became impossible to stay anymore with small children.

From the rude attitude of the night porter when my partner tried check in late at night, to the smell of drugs being used in the rooms next door when we last stayed there.

We know the owner who is a really nice guy but he us never there so what do you expect?
