Great food that is based on locally sourced ingredients. The place has a lot of charm and a unique atmosphere and setting.
The service isn't very good and needs to be improved to match the level and quality of the food. Prices are extremely high.
Close your eyes. Walk-in inside and open them up. You will feel like you walked into a romantic quaint European restaurant with ambiance to fit. The food is beautifully presented and gastronomically delicious! Not a nice restaurant for the “north” but a foodie heaven for the center! It’s a must go to place if you are ever north of Tel Aviv :)!
Absolutely fantastic food! A well hidden restaurant in the very north of Israel. Main courses were excellent and the dessert outstanding!
A must stop if you are visiting the area.
Decided to try after reading many great reviews. We were very disappointed. The one thing almost all the dishes had in common was the fact they were all a bit too salty. Not salty enough to return to the kitchen (felt like idiots returning one dish after the other) but salty enough to diminish the flavours of the ingredients.
The chef also tries too hard to reinvent classics, ending up with dishes that don't have the right textures or flavours.
We started off with tuna tartar - the fish itself was good but the chef chose to surround it with tapenade that overpowered the fish and left everything too salty. He wronged the fish again by combining it with bruschetta that was too crunchy and instead of a runny yolk on top he used preserved yolk that was way too hard and stuck to your teeth. Disappointing.
The other starter was excellent - black bun that was superb filled with prawns and some sort of remoulade. Very tasty, and the only dish that wasn't too salty.
Mains were disappointing too. Filet was good, but the sauce was too salty, and the potatoes in the gratin were cut so thinly you only tasted the saltiness of the sauce. And with a hefty price tag.
Gnocchi were good but again, he tried to experiment with the technique of the meat, so instead of very tender bits of meat you got more chewy meat, covered with sauce that was way too salty, and the parmesan on top added to the saltiness without anything to balance it.
The dessert, chocolate mousse over a brownie with salty caramel sauce, was very good.
Overall very disappointed for the price tag.
One of the best places in IL. Even in Tel Aviv standards this place stands out. Great atmosphere. OK service, which is more than you can say about any other northern place. The food is superb.
Fresh ingredients, great combination of tastes. Ostensibly simple dishes with a wonderful twist. Careful - portions are substantial!
Good food. Slow service
Very good food, nice setting at a cost
The food was fantastic.
But service is horrible.
It was a very slow service- it took our main courses 70 minutes to arrive!
And the manager just told us to that this is how they work.
The food was very good though.
Amazing food! Every dish is a masterpiece! And the people who work here are super friendly and attentive Love this place and would definitely come back!
Romantic 💏 place with great gourmet food
Very good food, super expensive though. service was very poor although the crew was making effort to be good. it's the little details that make a difference. we were recommended by the waiter to get the special lamb spare ribs ($70), she said it is enough for at least two people. the dish came in and it was unbelievably small portion, can barely be used for first course. very disappointing. spent $110 and ended the meal still hungry. the place itself is very warm and welcoming, the location is also great.
Very good food, I like all the dishes that I ordered, good service and very nice place
The food is amazing. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy. Prices are high, but worth every shekel!!!
