Interesting archeological site. More than 25 epoques. Since 7000 BC till the 4th century. AC. To be compared to Hazor, Tel Gezer, Zipori. The water plan is similar to Jerusalem, Iron age.

Twenty-one layers of history, very good , clear English instructions and explanations showing directions when walking around the site. The underground cistern dug out of the bedrock and then the view over the valley where many battles had taken place over the years makes this site a must see when travelling around Israel.

This is an historic site that was a fort and had king Solomon stables. From the site one can watch the valley below. On the site one can see many ruins. The ruins are described by signs, including the famous stables. The highlight of the sight is a marvel of engineering achievement at the time. It is a very deep, long, tunnel that brought water from a hidden source outside the fort. Today it is possible to see it with the help of the stairs and walkway, complete with the lights that are provided.

Large National Park where an ancient city is excavated reported to be about 26 layers of ruins. Take your time walking through it takes some imagination when it comes to the Bronze Age – Mount of Megiddo is written in the Book of Revelations to have an important event in Israel’s future. A great place to learn and experience.

Awesome archaeological site. Informative comprehensive museum with signs, relief maps, all easy to interpret in English Arabic and Hebrew. Signs in strategic places are very informative. Various display additions provide humerous photograph points.
A magnificent site; I could just imagine commanders in history looking at that same view with very different feelings!! The solution they came up with for the water was ingenious and a work of engineering and sheer hard work!
The restaurant provided an tasty excellent cafeteria standard lunch at a reasonable cost.
Must do if in the area. A strategic site in all of Israel. Not for the faint hearted however, quite a bit of climbing and lots of stairs to view water system. Got a wheelchair? Forget the stairs and have a strong pusher!!!

Just went for second time in past three months. This time brought my 67 yr old parents. It is a bit of a hike, but doable. Fascinating history. Everyone in my group loved it!
