  One of the best exposed archeological areas in Israel. Not recommended in the summer as it's very hot, and you'll want to spend several hours outside exploring this vast site and Tel. There are so many time frames represented here from ancient Egyptian cultures to 7 CE Muslims. Each time the city turned hands and cultures leaving traces behind for us to find. Incredible place if you like archeology and history.

  Israeli Pompeii. Well preserved old ancient city of Romans. You can see even latrines used once by the Beit Shean citiziens. Amazing amphitheatre.

  Wonderful place was a Roman city, lots of sites to see.
  Very interesting. We went during the day there are also night tours that are even more impressive.

  An amazing place to visit! If you are going with a tour, find one that will spend more than an hour there. There is so much to see and our tour did not show us the whole area.
  I feel we missed out on quite a bit.

  Magnificent place with Roman ruins well preserved. There are audio guide spots through the place giving information in English and Hebrew. Many civilizations lived in this place so it’s full with historical significance.
  There is a shop, bathroom services and a picnic area.

  One of my favorite spots in Israel. One of the best places to step back into time and experience an ancient city overflowing with architecture and ancient artifacts.

  Better than Rome!!! The whole family loved it. The tour was at 9pm in English. The kids didn't want to leave at 11pm!!! Even though it's late, it is so nice to avoid a tour in the heat of the day.
  Worth the drive. Combine it when you visit the north.

  Great reconstruction of the Roman city: amphitheatre, Bath house, public latrines, and commercial (market) street. Amazing accumulated excavation over the years. Really give you an idea of how the city looked like.

  Spectacular. A must see site when in the Galilee region. As an art historian, I found it to be a wonderful place to indulge my passion for ancient ruins. I didn't do the after dark program, though, so I can't speak to that experience. If you're here in the spring or summer, bring a hat and wear light clothing because there's almost no shade

  One of the best archeological sites in Israel (and possibly one of the only ones that have any Egyptian remnants.)
  
  The site can reach extremely high temperatures in the summer, so it's best to come here during the colder months of the year.
