We were blessed to have an Israeli Arab tour guide and an Israeli Jewish tour guide (Gal) on our 10 day tour through Tel Aviv, West Bank and Jerusalem, Haifa. Gal was outstanding individually and outstanding in concert with the other guide who together presented balanced and opposing viewpoints. This was the first time for Gal to guide like this and he did a beautiful job. Both guides learned from each other, setting a beautiful tone of learning together while putting issues and events in historical, cultural and political perspective. Gal shared personal stories from his family, even took us to his kibuttz to meet his family. He played his guitar for us. He is kind, sensitive, knowledgeable, open, efficient and communicates well. All things you want in a tour guide.

Gal was an absolutely WONDERFUL tour guide. It was my mom's first time in Israel and Gal took us through the Old City. He brought us to important Jewish, Christian, and Muslim sights. He was incredibly knowledgeable and interesting. At the end of the day he sat down with us and put everything we saw on a timeline! How he remembers the history so well dating back to 3000 BCE, I have no idea! I highly recommend him! Be sure to set aside the whole day!

going to the same school (sde-boker high school for environmental studies) i grow up with Gal, and so, got the chance to enjoy his work for the last 18 years. Gal has a deep understanding and intimate knowledge of the land, and a big passion to pass this on to everyone he encounters, doing so with a great attitude and alot of fun. for a trip in israel i would definitely take Gal as a guide.

gal abdu is an amazing combination of three great talents
1. great tourguide
2. an amazing musician
3. a good person
