Nice car rental place, slightly expensive but the service was good for Israel. I enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend this place to a friend. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There cars are nice and clean. Overall good experience and excellent quality. I will definitely be going back in the future.

Rented a car for 10 days from this avis near the king David hotel. The process was relatively smooth. I was told I needed liability according to local law, but I refused the cdw since it was covered under my card. The problem was that the car given to me had some maintenance that was yet to be done when it was given to me. First, I noticed the tire pressure light. I was told by one worker that it was fine, but yet another avis employee told me to drive with up to fill air in the tires. The oil change light was on too, and I wasn't comfortable with the answer I got from avis that was done, but not reset. The car definitely felt like it was running on old oil. Finally, a day into using the car, I needed washer fluid, and when I went to use it, it was empty. It makes me think that they don't really maintain these poor cars well. The return was smooth and without incident.

Arrived near closing time and they were patient. Also gave good advice about parking over the weekend and where to find a place on the street. They explained the "blue curbs" are the right place to park. There was an issue with a front plastic piece on the front undercarriage of the car that fell off just when I got to highway speeds. They had to conduct an investigation which was resolved fine. Also managed the explanation and resolution to the extra insurance charges. Great location, convenient to old city and downtown parking.

I went on a trip 2 hours away and the car broke down on us. I was stuck with my family (little kids too) for an hour until someone stopped and boosted our car, because Avis said it would take them 2 hours to get to me. We finally got back to the hotel and when we went to go out for dinner it was dead again. Then next morning we called them and waited 45 minutes for them to bring us a new car and we were down the block but they didn't come so the hotel gave us a boost we drove down the block and they gave us a dirty and dented car because "that's all they had". Overall it was not an enjoyable experience.

Last time I'll be renting with Avis! I made a reservation online, using this location as the pickup and Tel Aviv airport as the dropoff the following day, and got a total of cost of $45. When I got there to pickup the car, I was told that liability insurance was an additional cost and was mandatory. It was an extra 53 shekels, so about $14. Ok, not a big deal. They charged my card a total of $57, which seemed right with the conversions. Come to find out, this was in ADDITION to the $45 that Avis had already charged me. I requested a receipt and saw that I was charged $28 for personal effects protection and $29 with no explanation or description. I contacted Avis customer service and was told the $28 was for the liability insurance and the $29 was the surcharge for dropping it off at the airport. I said that this was never mentioned or explained, and the email receipt for the reservation shows a total of $45. They explained that the surcharges aren't displayed in the reservation unless it originates at the airport, although it still applies. Well that's convenient! And the $28 is for 2 days of liability insurance, although I wasn't told this was a per day charge, and it didn't show on the reservation slip that I signed that it would be $28, even though the pickup and dropoff time are on there. Very deceptive billing practices and their customer service won't budge.

Car was ok-Insurance cost was outrageous. The car was a 2014 Ford Focus. It served for my needs. The daily rate was $17 (priceline) HOWEVER, insurance is not included in the per day rate. So instead of an anticipated $172USD, I paid $472USD as the least expensive insurance option was $300 for the 10 days. I want to make sure people know this before they rent!

All cars are fairly new, clean, and in good condition. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and speak English. Renting here is a very pleasant experience and I've rented here several times already. I'm in and out in minutes, hassle-free.
