The Bed and Breakfast is gorgeous. There is a cool history behind the grounds and you can see and feel the detail and passion that was put into every detail. Joy and Evan are gracious hosts and just really nice people. Their only concern from beginning to end was the I had everything I needed and that I was comfortable and happy. The food was amazing and Joy and Evan will accommodate any food needs/allergies that you have. I came on Shabbat (Friday) and even though Joy and Evan were busy getting ready, they were patient and took the time to get me and the room all set, spent time with me to go over the town and it's happenings and delivered food for breakfast for Saturday, which was above and beyond what I had expected and it lasted me more than 2 days. The hot breakfast was beyond my expectations also. I was really able to just kick back and relax. The kitchenette is stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, salt, cream, kettle and both real and plastic dining utensils, plates and bowels.
This place is well deserved 5 star stay! Everything is clean and comfortable we had a baby with us and they were extremely accommodating! The breakfast was amazing the host are fascinating people me and my husband enjoyed immensely we highly recommend this place to be your home away from home in tzvat !
We have traveled all over Israel and the AQG has some of the most amazing rooms you will find anywhere in the world in a quiet convenient neighborhood location. In addition, they serve a dynamite breakfast. Worth checking out. Highly recommend.
Besides the city being magical, mysterious, and healing we had the privilege to be hosted by Joy and Evan.
The sweetness and generosity they added to our trip was apparent. We felt right at home and experienced a more homier side to Israel!
On top of the amazing energy this family had, the rooms are amazing! A true experience of the old city!
I highly recommend. You won't regret.
Great place to stay. Friendly and helpful owners who went over and above our expectations. Very clean with everything you need to be comfortable. Love the decor. We stayed in the two room flat with air conditioning in each room and full kitchen facility. They served us a very tasty breakfast in the court yard. We were given a map to make it easy for us to walk around the artist quarter and old city with ease. Highly recommend the Artist Quarter Guesthouse to anyone wanting a pleasant experience.
We really enjoyed our stay at this awesome guesthouse. The hosts were charming and helpful, offering above average service and they attempted to make us feel at home. The location was so convenient to the old city , the decor was authentic and the rooms were very clean. The highlight for us were the delicious Israeli breakfasts. Would love to return to this delightful venue in the future.
This historic, scenic modernized B&B is completely false advertising. It provided MUCH more than it initially described on its original website. We not only got to enjoy delicious authentic Israeli breakfasts, clean spacious rooms, and super easy access to all Old City spots, we also received the best advice from Joy and Evon about local dinner spots, bakeries, breweries, etc you know all the things only locals know about their community. Thanks for the insider information and amazing hospitality. This will definitely be a place we will be returning to next year ! - Meir & Bracha
One of the best stays we have ever had. A family of 7 from Atlanta GA. Sincere and attentive hosts and breakfast in the courtyard was delicious and memorable! Rooms are exceptional and extremely interesting, just what one would hope to find on a trip to Israel. Could not recommend Joy and Evan's B&B more, what they have done at Artist Quarter is amazing. We miss it already, thank you for a wonderful stay!
We stayed for two nights. It was a beautifully decorated and large room. The hosts were friendly, and every morning they served a big, delicious breakfast. The location was fantastic to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely stay here again.
Staying at the Artist Quarter Guesthouse was a superb experience. Our young children, ages 8, 6 and 2 were comfortable in their sweet beds/crib and the breakfast each morning was delicious with special care taken to meet the needs of our children. Joy and Evan were courteous and gave us wonderful recommendations about day trips. The room was warm, cozy, and a great location for wandering around Tzfat and also enjoying the northern region. It was a highlight of our trip. Recently looking back on the pictures brought back wonderful memories of our stay.
It was the very best hosting experience we could imagine. Joy and Evan are so warm and kind. They give you the feeling, that everything they have to worry about right now are you. The facility itself is very clean and architecture and decoration reflect the spirit of Tzfat. Also, there's everything you'll need for a pleasant stay. Of course, there's much more to say, but its better come and experience it. HIGHLY recommended.
We had a wonderful stay with Joy and Evan. Their place is unique, beautiful and comfortable. Their cooking is delicious. And their travel advice is extremely helpful. Evan even gave us a great lesson on the meanings of different names for God.
It was our favorite place in Israel.
This has to be the most lovely place to stay in Israel, or at least in (Safed) Tzfat. The old rocks give that solid historic feel and quaint modern at the same time. I would triple the amount of stars if I could. Both rentals are A+ and 5 stars. And the hosts + breakfasts are fantastic. A+
