Rowboat hire and boat tours operating from Rockingham Harbour on Lough Key. Small fleet (9) of well maintained fibreglass rowboats and a much larger tours boat which we didn't try. The boats are reasonable priced. The most interesting feature on Lough Key is Castle Island and according to the company website, it's about a 10 minute row to the island. If you enquire about renting to visit the island, you'll be told rather abruptly that they do not allow anybody to land on the Island. Hmmm ??? Something wrong there lads. If you're interested in rowing in circles around the lake or maybe visiting some of the other islands, this may suit but f you're interested in visiting Castle Island, forget it.

I took the Lough Key Boat Tour today with my young family. Danny & Oliver were outstanding! They were helpful, funny, entertaining, informative, professional & polite throughout the entire tour! Thanks guys

Went out on the 1 hour tour around lough Key today. Highly recommend as we really enjoyed it. Covered boat, so great activity if you find yourself there in the rain! Lovely staff and reasonable prices. Three trips a day in the afternoons (1.30, 3.00 and 4.30 at the time of writing), but they do need at least 10 people to sail.
