There’s no getting around the fact that this is a tourist trap, but if you are traveling through and a fan of the whiskey (guilty as charged), you can’t help but stop. The town of Tullamore is incredibly charming and you could easily spend an afternoon getting lost. At distillery, there are tours and decent food offerings.

Cool place with a nice bar, didn't get the chance to do the tour because we arrived a little late, interior of the space looks fantastic.

Fantastic visitor experience. Our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. The masterclass option is definitely worth paying extra for as you really learn to appriciate the art of whisky blending.

If you like Jameson, do yourself a favor and try this distillery. From the states, I hadn't tried it before and fell in love. The tour was incredibly informative and the flights are perfect for sampling. We did the cheapest option and got three. You can choose the high end to get six. They also have a €150+ option that (I believe) shows their production. As a side note - Sundays are sometimes the busiest. Long live the city of Tullamore and DEW.

Nicely done visitor centre, close to the heart of Tullamore town. Offering a choice of guided tours concerning the history of Tullamore Dew whiskey and the process of production. Each guided tour concludes with a more or less extensive tasting.
Not the place where the whiskey is actually produced though, so you are not able to really have a look at working whiskey destillery there. Nevertheless still worth a visit though 12,- € for the guided tour with the "smallest" tasting isnt exactly a steal.response / report this review -

LOVE the whiskey
Friendly and knowledgeable staff
After visiting/touring a few other distilleries and breweries in ireland- I wouldn't recommend the tour here (if you have done a few already)but the ambiance and the food was GREAT!
Ordered the burger and of course the whiskey!
If your lucky enough to have a nice sunny day, you can enjoy sitting on there outside patio alongside the river!

Been here a few times over the last 15 years and it has changed every time for the better. Far more appealing to kids and families now. Way better layout. It was more like a museum then and now it's a more structured and more interesting tour

Easily the best tour in the midlands and much better then the Jameson or Guinness tour in Dublin the guide we had Shane Murray was excellent he knew a lot about whisky making and went into great detail. To explain the process and the history to me and my 3 Swedish friends.

lovely tour through the history of Tullamore DEW and whisky, awesome location (old warehouse/storehouse right next to the grand canal way)
beway of the parking ticket vending machine right outside, they don't belong to the tullamore visitor center, and they tend to not be working (we left a note with our arrival time behind the windscreen and that the machine was broken)response / report this review -
