Was visiting Ireland from Australia with a large group for a golf tour out of Scotland and one of our golfers died unexpectedly from a heart attack. The management and staff from the hotel could not have done more for us. They went above and beyond anything anybody could have possibly expected. They ran copious amounts of complimentary tea, coffee and sandwiches to the group, whenever we so much as sat down, with never any question as to cost. In such an awful time they could not have been more caring, helpful and understanding. Management and staff are amazing

Absolutely fabulous hotel spotlessly clean. Has the friendliest of staff, great food and bar and good gym facilities. Close to the shops and other restaurants and bars. Only a short walk from the train station. Would highly recommend a stay

Food was great, we were part of a golf society and were well looked after. Rooms modern and comfortable. Nice bar and good location. Good parking at hotel

Brilliant hotel and wonderful staff. Rooms bright and airy and crisply clean. Food was fantastic at evening meal times and breakfast was superb. The hotel prices were very reasonable and I would recommend this hotel 100 percent!

A true anchor in the town. Have stayed several times, used pretty much all of their facilities. Kept well, run well and a go-to for any large event or even just a quick lunch. Bar has good atmosphere throughout the day and in to the evenings

Been here a couple of times now for photography competitions. Does a very good carvery on Sunday. Large, comfortable to sit in for eating with numerous screens showing football etc (if you like sport). Always seems to be busy, but there is a large, efficient waitress service.

Hotel had its nice areas. Some areas updated others not. Lounge area was nice as was the restaurant/bar. Rooms were average. Countertop and sink were updated, but tub/shower was not. Also, the shower wasn't the cleanest. So overall, average hotel with some potential if they could get a few things tightened up.
