A lovely place. Food excellent. Court Yard is beautiful with lights.. Service was very good.
This was our favorite meal in our entire two week trip throughout Ireland. The food, courteous and wonderful staff, and ambience were so nice that we cancelled another reservation to go back here again just to enjoy it once more. If possible, I'd eat there once a week! The prices were very reasonable and the food was absolutely top notch. The wines were great. The coffee is great. The desserts were amazing, and the main courses made everyone's day. I'd highly recommend it if you're in the area!
One of the best places I've ever stayed. I'm not talking value for money, but in general. We stayed on the Parsons room.
Pro's:
Bathroom is great
Spacious bedroom
The owner is such a nice guy
Con's:
If you leave the window open (and even a bit if you don't) the smell of the kitchen gets into the room
Would strongly recommend this accommodation
Extremely disappointing called in this afternoon , didn't take bookings , ,for less than 6 people , just walk in , not busy , best to come before 7:30 . We arrived at 6:40 informed fully booked , sorry no tables free
Beautiful BnB and restaurant not far from the castle. A lovely place to sit down and relax after a long walk around the castle gardens. Food was tasty and the staff friendly. Stunning courtyard outside with ample heating for cold evenings. Will definitely come again
Stayed overnight in this charming guest house. It is centrally located and the bedrooms are extremely comfortable, high-end design and probably one of the most beautiful rooms we have stayed in anywhere. We had breakfast which was very good, perfectly scrambled eggs, in a pleasant breakfast room. We didn't have time to enjoy the courtyard area but will do so on our return visit.
Stunning food, presentation & atmosphere
Great place to go out for dinner.
Bar has a nice, relaxed atmosphere, while the restaurant is good for a more formal dinner.
Food is very tasty, and reasonably priced.
Bad review for exceptionally distasteful service. This restaurant looked lovely and had what looked like a good menu but alas not much for the vegetarians.. My friend is a vegetarian and does not eat peppers. That should not have been a problem. There were two vegetarian dished on the menu. Well two noodle and one vegetable curry. We went for the curry and asked to have it without peppers. We were offered all the fish dishes without peppers ??? Hallo.. Vegetarian. We were told that the curry is not made fresh but all made up earlier that day( with Peppers). We did not wish to be too awkward though had appetites and asked if the cook could remove the peppers and put some chopped boiled potato in. We were told by the waitress that the cook would not remove the peppers???????? We were given no other option. What kind of cook can not put a vegetarian dish together in a couple of minutes Very sad. I will not go there again. And if you are vegetarian or in a non meat eater's company. I do not recommend this establishment
Utterly delightful. Called in en route from Roscrea: Charming interior, and given that it was such a smashing day sat outside under their special awning. Attentive and swift/alert service. Terrific menu. I had the the poached Eggs on a black pudding mash cake with black pudding. SUPERB..The Poached eggs were perfection. Host had Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. A droppete of Red House wine. Several tables busy with happy guests..Absolutely charming, Delicious and good value. It's a find..Definitely a high point on the road. A must in the near future.
Went here for lunch one Saturday afternoon. Had great great things about Spinners and it did not disappoint. They have a great menu with lots to choose from. The food was excellent and portions were generous.
