I'm a sailor sailing around the world with my cat. I let my little "Mousse" over there for 10 days when I stopped in Kinsale. Imelda came to the boat to pick up Mousse and l take her back. We visit together the place before, nice infrastructure, well made and comfortable. Mousse looked really happy when she came back.
A really nice place to let your cat during hollidays. I recommand it !
We have dropped our cat to Truffle Lodge Kitty Care on a number of occasions over the past year, for stays ranging from a few days to two weeks. Truffle Lodge is always very clean and each individual "suite" is cosy and welcoming. We always feel like our cat will be safe and warm both during the winter and summer stays, he is always in good form and bright when we collect him. Imelda is what Truffle Lodge is all about, from her cheerfully decorated office to her lovely warm welcome on arrival, Imelda had an obvious love for what she does, we will happily use Truffle Lodge Kitty Care again.
Aunty Imelda is the ONLY person I would ever trust my 'child' with! She is the cat whisperer of Ireland. She is exceptionally professional, the facilities are impeccable and embody all that is luxury. My cat, Stoffel, is blind and despite his disability he loves his holidays with Aunty Imelda and settles in each time with great ease and no stress whatsoever.
I highly recommend Truffle Lodge and will continue to support Imelda. With love Sarah, Chris and Stoffel xxx
Truffle Lodge Kitty Care is amazing. We have brought our cat here a number of times and have been so impressed with the standard of care offered by Imelda and Truffle Lodge. It truly is a home from home for our cat as it has heated beds (for the cold winter nights), nutritious food, interactive play areas and spacious kitty rooms. Which is why we travel 34km to leave our cat in Imelda’s superb care. We have total peace of mind when we are away knowing that our cat is getting the 5 star treatment. Would highly recommend Truffle Lodge Kitty Care. And will definitely be back again soon.
I have brought my pride & joy 'Pookie' to Imelda on numerous occasions and there is nowhere else I would send her. She is so well looked after, the facilities are bright, clean and fun. I once had Pookie return home drinking water when I had struggled for a long time to get her to do so. I would highly recommend Truffle Lodge and Imelda. I treat my cat like a child (so I've been told!!!) and I would be very wary of who I'd leave her with but I always feel confident dropping her to Truffle Lodge as Imelda's love and care for all the kitty's and her professionalism are always truly evident. Thank you Truffle Lodge from Zita & Pookie :)
The truffle lodge is great. Imelda took perfect care of our cat. Sometimes he didn't want to come home. Imelda was also very accommodating to drop offs and pick ups outside the regular drop off times. 5/5 best cattery we have left our cat into.
Truffle Lodge is one to avoid. We’d been very impressed when we first visited (by arrangement). We weren’t too concerned that she wasn’t yet registered with the IKBCA, as we assumed she’d be accepted if she applied. When we dropped the cats off, some grass fell from my husband’s shoe and Imelda insisted on cleaning it up straight away. We took this as a sign that she was obsessive about cleaning (a good thing) and so had no hesitation about leaving our two cats for three weeks. We were sent videos while away and all seemed well. Distressingly, our experience was very different when we picked them up. The litter tray was overflowing. It stank of pee, and the poo hadn’t been removed for at least a couple of days. The blankets were stained with pee (a clear indication they were unable to use their tray, which was right next to the food bowls and not in the outer area, where it should have been). One of our cats was injured. He had a large cut on his right shoulder, and this took weeks to heal (involving several visits to the vet and daily medication) - see photo. Imelda showed no concern about this and has not responded to requests to check the pen for sharp items that could have cut him. We’d failed to call to let her know exactly when we’d arrive on the day we’d arranged to collect them. Had we done so, she’d have had time to clean the pen and we’d have been unaware of the true conditions. This has all been very upsetting for us and, of course, for our beloved cats. Never again. (I posted a review on her Facebook page but it appears to have been deleted. See attached screen grab with replies.)
