We went to 7 B&B's on our trip and this was the best. The room was huge, the house is huge, and the breakfast was the largest of any on our trip. Combine that with the wonderful owners and their conversation, and it was simply the best.

Very nicely furnished. Very pleasant experience. Phena & Gerry were welcoming, friendly, and gave us excellent advice on nearby things to see and do. The rooms (there were two couples) were spacious and nicely furnished. We roamed the farm grounds and were greeted by horses, a donkey, a new-born foal, and one fractious pony. Seemingly remote, the B&B is only a kilometer or two from the Castlemaine city center.

Of all the places my wife and I stayed while traveling around Ireland, Tom and Eileen's Farmhouse B&B was by far the best. The view was amazing, the company was wonderful, and the welcome was warm.

My only regret was that we were only able to stay there for one night!

Nestlings on the hill foot, room is big and very clean, enjoyed walk in the farm, money for value, our stay was very special…wish we stayed longer!

My wife and I spent only two nights here, and wish we'd have made it 3 or 4! Yes, its actually a farm with horses, cows, and goats that will follow you around for a walk! It was one of our favorite places we stayed. The place is unquestionably clean, you wouldn't know its a farm except for the view from the window or the occasional horse winny which just adds to the experience. (The animals are quiet at night, they didn't keep us awake.)

The hosts Phena and Gerry are extremely friendly and accommodating, and give excellent advice for your day trips. I have no idea how they find enough time in the day for both their two and four legged guests!
